“Had the fried catfish at L & S Diner and it was really good — crispy, tasty, and cooked just right. Definitely worth a try if you’re in the area.”

It's a greasy spoon diner without the greasy 😂 stopped here bc it was one of the only places we could find open for Sunday breakfast. SO SO glad we stopped! My breakfast was absolute perfection cooked exactly to order. Coffee was very good. Will absolutely come back for breakfast and probably to try a lunch option or two...maybe the buffet!

We come to Dale Hallow every year and camp. We stumbled upon this diner and so glad we did. It blows all the others out of the water! This place is CLEAN! And the food is home cooked goodness! Linda is an awesome and attentive waitress. The picture says it all about our peach cobbler.

We love taking the country roads when we’re on a road trip—it’s where the real treasures hide! We’re not just talking quirky diners and charming little stores (though there’s plenty of those); we mean the people, the stories, the art, and the unexpected beauty in every mile. There’s always a story to hear—and a few to tell.
On our long way home, we stumbled upon this gem of a diner, and wow—what a blessing. Think home-cooked goodness, warm Southern hospitality, smiles all around, and a pace slow enough to actually taste your food and your life.
Shoutout to Linda—absolute rockstar. She was flying solo, handling both dine-in and takeout during what can only be described as the sacred Southern time slot between church and lunch. She was calm, kind, and steady, with that gentle smile that says, “Yep, I’ve got this.”
The food? Hit the spot perfectly and kept us happy all the way to the hotel. One more story added to the road trip book—and it came with gravy.
