Very disappointed. I have had better barbecue. Me and my son ordered a barbecue sandwich and fries and was brought out on 1 plate. I had to eat mine on a paper towel. Heard great things on this place but I wouldn't go back.

I called two weeks in advance to place a large order for my sister’s rehearsal dinner. The person on the phone didn’t even ask for my phone number, which I thought was odd, so I made sure to intentionally give it to her in case she had any questions or wanted to confirm my large order closer to time. Apparently all of that was for nothing because when I arrived to pick up my order, no one even knew I had placed one (though I did see that they found my order sheet- apparently it was somewhere but no one looked at it). They did not have all of the pulled chicken I ordered so they had to give me bone-in chicken, which was not ideal. The thing that made me the most upset, though, was that they did not really apologize to me. I understand that mistakes happen, but having been a restaurant manager, I know the most useful phrase in this situation is “how can I make this right?” I would have liked to have been on the receiving end of that question. You made a mistake and I am clearly unhappy- offer me a drink while I wait, apologize, try to make it right…just do something! The food was good, but my overall experience was disappointing.

There were 3 of us. We got a little of everything and shared it all. I can honestly say, that there wasn't anything I wouldn't get again. (Loved, loved, loved the fried green tomatoes!)The only disappointment was...they were out of banana pudding. BBQ HAS to be followed up with banana pudding!!

We picked up a small catering pan of Greens and one of the Mac! Delicious and plenty for our group of 25!

I got the Smokehouse Mac & Cheese and the biggest issue was the noodles were very mushy like they had been way overcooked or sitting in water for a long time. The picture of it I saw in another review had bacon crumbles on top and lots of cheese. I had some grey pork with mushy noodles and a small amount of cheese. Mine looked very sad compared to it. I should have taken my own picture.

So, we are from Forida and we ordered takeout abount a year ago. We went to pick it up and the order was all wrong. Young teens there were saying that we were wrong, were rude and unaccomodating saying that this is what we ordered. We havent been back since, nor our family. Is there any reason we should give this restaurant another chance ???
Customer service is important! The food here is fabulous. So good that we ate there AND bought some to take home for another meal. I had the Southern Way Special, which was a cornbread pancake topped with pulled pork, topped with slaw. I did the vinegar slaw rather than mayo, and it was delicious. I think the vinegar helped the meal not to feel so heavy. My husband had ribs and bbq chicken. The chicken was fine, but the ribs were fantastic - really tender with a sweet sauce. The ambiance was cute, really eclectic, and fun. The reason it didn't get 5 stars was because the girl at the register seemed to hate her job. She was really short with me, not friendly at all. If they had someone interested in offering a smiling face at the counter to give a good first impression, it would be beneficial for them.

I really enjoy their Grilled Cheese with Brisket, Ribs and their sides are a great accompaniment! Fried Okra is a particular fave!
Atmosphere is warm, charming and shows off the town. Staff is friendly and attentive!

Had a terrible experience here where they marked everything a la carte, which resulted in a $60+ meal. Bbq had an awful chemical taste to it as well. Staff didn't seem to care or want to help at all. Didn't even offer buns. We had to ask for them. Absolutely anti customer. Will not return.

The Thursday $1 Smoked chicken hind quarters cant be beat! Hand lunch with hubby he had grilled cheese with l pork and i had the mac n cheese. Yummy!
