Burgers are great and service is great. They usually have a variety of great options on the menu.
DOUBLE YULK!! Hamburger Steak fried black to a crisp on outside on both sides! Couldn’t taste anything but the black burnt taste. Fried Cornbread disgusting— a brick of fried grease! Green beans from a can- no taste! Mashed potatoes not real and even looks gross with fake red pieces of peelings. Very Overpriced for poor quality food—$27.36 for 2 horrific meals, 1 tea and 1 water. Maybe other foods ok, just know these 2 plate specials were horrible and gross!!

Our to-go food was fine and the young lady who ran the counter was great. Only issue was the absolutely disgusting and rude way the owner talks to her workers. I almost cancelled my order and left. I’ve managed and worked I restaurants for over a decade, there is NO reason to talk to employees like that, no matter what you’ve personally got going on.
Shame that the owner isn’t as great as the food.
The fries were perfect! I added a grill chicken and bacon to the 3 cheese grilled sandwich! 😋 yum! Thank you Renee!

I ordered here for dinner tonight and it was the worst food. My son’s burger was so burnt it was black. My other son’s food was so over cooked it was unbelievable to the point that he would not eat it. I had the salisbury steak dinner with green beans and mashed potato’s . I got two hamburger patties (patties were uncooked in the center) with a very small amount of brown gravy, peas and carrots and no mashed potatoes. I will never return to this restaurant.
Gloomy and dark lighting. Freezing cold temperature. Lots of items on the menu were out of stock. Rude and condescending staff. It was so bad it was almost amusing.

Food is always fantastic and staff's super friendly!! Its my weekly stop for lunch in Chapel Hill.
If you like hometown-friendly atmosphere and food, this is your place. Be prepared to use plenty of napkins for the juicy burgers and try their crispy onion rings as an appetizer. Forget dessert, you won't have room.

We ate here tonight as this is usually my husbands favorite spot to eat but the past couple of times we’ve ate supper here it hasn’t been the best but we gave it a shot and sadly half of our order was burnt. We got 3 chicken nugget meals and the kids couldn’t bite into the chicken because it was so overly cooked, we got fried pickles and there were no pickles in the batter, they had been fried away Im assuming. My husband got a burger with onion rings and they were also burnt. I took a picture of the onion rings but forgot to get pics of everything else before I took it back inside to change it. We switched the kids meals to burgers and they recooked the pickles and they look a lot better.
EDITED TO ADD: we thought the food looked better but it was honestly all AWFUL. 😕 my daughter wouldn’t eat her burger, my husbands burger was soggy so it wasn’t editable

Best pancakes in Tennessee. Great sandwiches too. We stayed close to this place in June and it was SO good. Oh and the best part is it's affordable.
Very Slow…… Teenagers working the place. Took 50 min to get a to go order of 2 cheeseburgers and 1 Mac and cheese. Was over 30 dollars. Place wasn’t very clean. Staff was nice. Host kept complaining about being there.
Order dinner tonight and all of our food was burnt or old tasting. The fries were so hard you couldn't even bite into them. Our burgers were crunchy. And don't get me started on my onion rings they were so over cooked that onions were actually black. Worst experience ever. Definitely not worth the $60+ dollars we spent
I highly recommend this quirky but super friendly lunch spot when you are in Chapel Hill or visiting Henry Horton SP. We had the western omelette, double stack of pancakes, chicken sandwich (tenders fried in cornmeal) with sweet potato chips. Guys- it was delicious! All of it. Made to order, but quick and friendly service. We talked about those pancakes all day long. Unfortunately we didn’t have room for a shake- but plan to try on our next visit. Check them out!
Great little home spun diner.
