Literally a hole in the wall, but to be honest it would be better considering they are out in the middle of nowhere where if they had farm fresh type food. The bologna was a thin slice and not that good. The blt was more T then anything else

Small diner with not much for atmosphere, but laid out for feeding people.
The food was really good. The wait service responsive and helpful.

Country kitchen with all meals home made. Very friendly staff and great parking. As a note, it really is a hole in the wall diner but with exceptional meals and the desserts are fantastic such as home made cobblers (blackberry or peach).

It was the best burger I've had in a long time. Found it by chance on the way to the VA with my husband. We both have found a great place to eat every time we have to go to the VA in Johnson City. I already went back and took my niece and 2 great niece's

My husband and I love to go to locally/family owned restaurants when we go to waterfalls, and I have to say you will not regret eating here! Our server, Melissa is fairly new to the place and was very nice and accommodating. My veggie omelette and toast and tomatoes were delicious! TOP NOTCH! My husband got country ham with eggs and biscuit with gravy. We will be returning when we are in the area again!

Next time I am ordering from the menu.
Others may like the pork we ordered but came off the truck and then heated and sauce out on it. It was ok. Vegetables were good. Off the beaten path for us but may be on your path and you may be hungry. Prices are good and reasonable.

Hole in the Wall: A Hidden Gem with Perfect Comfort Food
Don't let the name fool you; Hole in the Wall might just be your new favorite spot for classic comfort food done right. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted with what feels like a genuinely welcoming atmosphere and service that makes you feel right at home.
The menu boasts simple yet satisfying options, and the standout for me was undoubtedly the mushroom and Swiss burger. Cooked to perfection, the juicy patty was complemented beautifully by the earthy mushrooms and creamy Swiss cheese. Each bite was a delightful explosion of flavor – exactly what you crave in a great burger.
And let's not forget the cheese balls! These little bites of cheesy goodness were the perfect way to start the meal. Crispy on the outside and gooey on the inside, they were simply irresistible.
What truly elevates Hole in the Wall is the combination of delicious, no-fuss food and genuinely good service. It's clear they care about their customers and take pride in what they serve. If you're looking for a laid-back place with fantastic versions of your favorite comfort foods, Hole in the Wall is a must-try. Highly recommended!

We love stoping on little ma and pa places to eat and exploring. We were traveling back to Ohio from Gatlinburg and decided for late lunch, decor is as expected hole in the wall. 1 server and she was on register. Did very well, took a bit to get food, but the food made up for it. Wanted breakfast but they stopped serving it by time we got there. And the prices were very cheap.
Hubby ordered bacon cheese burger, and chili cheese fries, burger was juicy and topped with a good crunchy pickle, I ordered Philly steak with mushrooms and peppers and onions. Was very very good, cheesy and well seasoned. Not just bland steak em meat. And to dip fry’s the awesome homemade ranch. Only gave 4 due to time to get food. But worth the stop for sure. Off beautiful beaten path with great views.

Wanted to give this local restaurant a try. Had passed by many times and always thought it was a BAR!
It is not! They don't sell alcohol here.
Went for an early dinner. Restaurant had a steady stream of patrons and was full by 5:30.
Only one waits who worked register, took orders and served as well. Quite the job. She was lovely.
We ordered the Tuesday special which was ribeye steak and 2 sides $24.99.
Steak was great! We had asked potatoes, onion rings and fried pickles. Potatoes yummy, fried pickles and onion rings just what you would expect, morning to write home about. I would say serving them in smaller containers may help it look like you're getting your money's worth as they looked a little lonely in their respective containers.
Atmosphere was what you would expect for a local hole in the wall. Good little spot in the middle of a country road setting.
May be back to try breakfast.
