The food was good. I never liked Applebee's before. But I was traveling and hungry. The burger was good and the drink was fantastic. Our server was very nice too.

When first coming in we were sat right away, which is a plus although I will say with a baby it’s a little harder to sit at a booth so we asked for a table instead which had us wait a few extra mins. Not horrible. After being sat the waitress Tiffany and the trainee Lacy were amazing. Kept an amazing conversation answered all the questions perfectly. At first We ordered our drink then after we received them (after waiting and watching them sit at the bar enough for ice to melt) we ordered food. I specifically ordered a 8oz steak rare. My S/O ordered his 8oz steak medium well. Well. The kitchen mixed out temperatures not a big deal we asked for them to be remade. However the s/o steak was a 6oz not what was ordered but not an issues, it was also somehow charred on the outside. The waitress asked us to just switch our steaks….in what way would that be ok? Got the steaks remade, s/o like his and finished it. Mine was tough. How does one make a rare steak tough? Now I know it’s not the waitress fault. So I give props to Tiffany for handling the situation to the best of her ability. But I think someone in the kitchen needs some training.

The service here is mediocre, but it's not the whole staff. Was seated quick, within 5 mins. However, waited over 15 mins for the server to ask us what we want to drink or eat. Then, waited another 25 mins for the food to come out. In total, nearly an hour went by from the time I walked in before I could start eating lunch.
And the food/drinks? Well, I got my cocktail without sugar on the rim (as described in the menu) and did not receive sausages in my New Orleans-styled pasta (as described in the menu).

This was very good. The chicken was tender and flavorful. Garlic mashed potatoes could have had a little more garlic.

I'd like to give a shout out to Whitney behind the bar at the Applebee's location in Hopkinsville. She greeted me warmly like an old friend, as she did with other guests. I ordered the grilled salmon with Cajun seasoning, garlic mashed potatoes and broccoli, washed down with lemonade. It was very tasty.. I'm a flight attendant and had a long night ahead of me, flying to Europe. We're not allowed to drink within 8 hours of flying, or I would have stuck around. Please thank Whitney for her lovely hospitality!

My wife s steak was supposed to be med rare. Came well done and tough. Cole slaw on my spicy chicken sandwich was so filled with juice the bun was a soggy mess.
