This was my inaugural visit to this restaurant, and I was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness and the delectable food. I'd highly recommend not judging this place by its exterior when you first arrive, as it may not immediately catch your eye. However, the true gem lies within.Don't let the unassuming exterior deter you; this restaurant offers not only affordable dining but also generously portioned, satisfying meals. I'm definitely planning on returning for another delightful experience.Parking: Navigating the parking situation in the front of the restaurant can be a bit challenging due to limited space. Especially during peak hours, it's advisable to consider alternative parking options to ensure a smooth dining experience.

Our first visit. We were greeted warmly. Menu isn't extensive, but much more than adequate. I had a Steak Torta sandwich. Bread was fresh and soft. It was cut in half, but you could handle one half with both hands! Some tortas are so big, you feel like you are in a wrestling match with them. This one was sized just right. My wife ordered three empanadas. Nice, crispy shell with an excellent filling. We sure enjoyed our meals. Staff was very attentive. El Chapin looks dumpy on the outside, but newly remodeled on the inside. They were playing Vevo music videos that put you in the mood. We'll be back for more!

Hey Google, Lunch near me?Brought me to the off beat path and an original Mexican Taqueria Joint. Don't let the place fool you. It's a run down rejuvenation typical of mom pop establishments with the most authentic Mexican food north of Tijuana. I had the chicken Quesadilla, wife had chicken Tacos. Tacos were on soft corn tortillas served fresh and simple with pico and homemade sauces. Quesadilla was on flour tortillas grilled with onions bell peppers and cheese. Served promptly and very clean. I had the original Mexican Coke over cracked ice. Overall good lunch and would go back
