Went here for the first Time and did not have a good experience. First of all the floors are so slippery we had to walk extremely careful. The bathroom smelled like an aquarium. We were sat at a hibachi table fairly quickly, but it took roughly an hour for the hibachi chef to come out. He started on the vegetables which were very minimalistic. The hibachi grill ended up turning off and he ended up moving us to a whole new table mid dinner. so we all had to carry our stuff including sauces over to the new one. The waitress was very sweet but we never got ice so we were all drinking hot drinks. We were there for a total of two hours. My steak was suppose to be medium rare but ended up well done by the way he was cooking them. Three of us that ate chicken felt sick to our stomachs shortly after as well. Not worth almost $200
I love Hananoki! Best Japanese Restaurant Ever! Everything that I’ve had was Delicious! My Favorite thing of all was their Dumplings. 🥟
We eat here as much as we can possibly afford! Absolutely my favorite place in Clarksville. NOTE: because it’s a great restaurant be prepared to wait but it’s worth it.
This was an absolutely horrible experience, and it was just a take-out order. It was $90 for me and my husband to get Filet and chicken and Filet and shrimp. My husband got no veggies and extra fried rice for an extra charge of $3.00 when it was already $4.00 more to get fried rice instead of steamed rice. I asked for extra yum yum sauce and was charged $2.00 for the amount of sauce in these cups in the pictures. They didn't give my husband any extra fried rice. My lettuce was disgusting in the salad, the portions were small, the steak (medium and medium rare) was like beef jerky, and we got charged an automatic 10% gratuity for a take-out order that was never mentioned to me. We called, and they offered to give us a voucher for a free fried rice next time we come back. They can keep that rice. We will not be back.
Came in with a party on 4/19 (yesterday) and was told they were cleaning a table it’ll be 15 minutes watched the clean table for 45 before I had to speak up and we were sat. First server came over very pissed as another came to relieve her (clearly the real server) 15 minutes after seating another family was sat near in which they received their drinks and appetizers before we had even received drinks. They received a chef before even received our own chef, mind you we had came at 7:50 and wasn’t sat till 8:45 and didn’t start cooking our door till 9:45. The chef was very unengaged the service sucked so bad the salads was not traditional at all the dressing was very off taste and to top it off everyone’s plates were filthy. Won’t be returning until the service gets better if ever.
Brah. When the time comes for my final meal, it's going to be the biggest bowl of Hananoki's fried rice. It's. So. Damn. Goooood!
Steamed mussels was excellent. The chateaubriand was excellent. Teriyaki Shrimp and scallops, average. Zucchini that accompanied the meals had tough/hard spots.
We visited here for the first time last week. We ordered 2 orders of hibachi and my daughter got soup. Our bill was around $80. The soup had alot of pepper, the salad dressing was watered down. Our hibachi meals were good but expensive and small portion. We didn't get the cook in front of it as we were rushed for time so opted for a basic table. Very expensive for what we got.
“Fly in my salad.” They are really good. I got 4 meals to-go plus 2 sushi rolls and appetizers and my total was just over $220 with tip and my salad had a dead bug in it. Did I eat it? After spending $220 you bet I did. Extra protein is extra protein. Do with this info what you want.
All around bad experience, for $100+ for 2 adults and a child the service and food should never be so bad. We were there from 7:15 until 9:30, our food didn't even come out until around 9. We were repeatedly ignored by our server, he didn't refill drinks more than twice, he brought out a sushi roll with crab even though I'm allergic, and when he brought out the new sushi roll it was still incorrect, the filet mignon was awful and full of gristle, the chicken was extremely dry. We had to go find someone to get silverware. My whole meal was inedible. The solution was to take the drinks off our order and add a small discount, still paid $100 for inedible food and bad service. As someone with years of customer service experience I cannot understand what was going on.
Restaurantji Recommends
This experience turned out to be a real treat. The environment is peaceful and the staff is very pleasant. My was knowledgeable and made recommendations that turned out to be the best choice for my meal. I ordered the salmon, and it was spectacular. The salmon had nice bite-sized chunks along with a melody of fried vegetables.
I'm definitely looking forward to my next visit to try something new. There's no doubt that I will have another great experience.
Terrible experience. Told an hour wait and waited over 2 hours. Found out the owner was seating people ahead of others who had been waiting. Only reason for 1 star was our amazing waitress. After a 2 hour wait for table we waited another hour for the chef. Walked out before we even had food. Integrity means a lot. Don’t make deals with people who walk in after others and seat them ahead right in front of customers faces.
The wire was great. I have severe food allergies, he offered to have my food cooked separately in the back. The first time he brought my food, the chef hasn't even adjourned to the grill. I sent it back. I'm not eating with everyone watching them sorting and watching them eat. The manager came back with the same plate of food 10 minutes later. (Ice cold) the chef still want at the table. The chef comes, starts cooking they come back 6 mins in to him cooking. They claim they remade the meal. ICE COLD. WE LEFT. NEVER AGAIN.
Best restaurant ever
This is the second time we have went for hibachi at Hananoki’s and should have learned from our last experience not to use this establishment again. We were there for more than 3 hours, celebrating 2 birthdays and I wish I could say anything good. I was severely disappointed by the “manager” Evelyn’s response to issues. Nevertheless, my daughter told him we were celebrating and watched as they came out and sang for tables around us, but the same was not done for us and I can only assume it was because they took 3 hours and were trying to close. They sure didn’t mind charging 18% gratuity though.
