Hananoki Japanese Steakhouse

I was very disappointed as we decided to eat the dining room to do hibachi and did not get a shrimp appetizer when I asked about it. She said it would be an extra charge, but yeah I’m paying the same dollar amount as I would’ve paid if I had sat down and done hibachi and I would’ve gotten that shrimp appetizer. This is poor business.

The host that sat us down was rude.

Extremely high quality. The cuts for the filet were so tender could almost mistake them for wagyu. The sides were good, not my cup of tea but the rest of the table devoured them. From the moment we stepped in to the very last bite it was an amazing experience. Couldn't recommend them enough.

Service was ok, felt like I was on an assembly line. We were seated 1st at the grill, 3 others seated after us and we were served last! By the time we had our meats my rice was cold. Food was superb! Waitress needs to slow down and be more personable. Let the chef know who was 1st at the table so they get served 1st!

The best hibachi you will ever have!!

After a long day, I stopped in because I simply wanted some good fried rice. All the time I get amazing fried rice hibachi style in a large portion for no more than 15 or $20. The waitress took my order to go I just said it would be ready shortly. I guess I'm supposed to feel stupid for not asking how much it was up front. I guess it's because I couldn't have dreamed that they would tell me the price they did.$38 and some change.. when I saw the styrofoam container and felt how lightweight it is my heart sank. I'm not the type of person to allow a restaurant to cook the food and then not pay for it after the fact... But honestly I wish I had. When she handed me the receipt to sign I was offended that there was this expectation for me to tip them.$40 later, even more pissed off when I opened the styrofoam container. One or two scoops of fried rice that was way over soy sauced, five or six pieces of shrimp, five or six cubes of steak... For this amount of money, I could have bought the same quality ingredients at the store and fed an entire family and still had leftovers for them AND SERVED THEM DRINKS ON TOP OF IT. I'll never spend another red cent at that place. There is no portion of fried rice this small worth $40 unless there's gold flakes and a fondue fountain next to it. If you haven't been here yet save yourself. There are way cheaper options that are just as good all over this city

Food was great. Ordered the combination hibachi chicken and salmon. Miso soup and salad were all delicious and satisfying. Also ordered two big apple cocktails and they were made well. Friendly atmosphere and got full with the entire meal. 5 star experience!

To say our experience at the restaurant tonight was bad is an understatement. We were there to celebrate a birthday and had made reservations for 6:00 p.m. for a party of five. We were seated at approximately 6:30 at a table in the back of the room. The waitress stated that there would be no one else sitting at the table with us because the ventilation was poor and the smoke would drift to the side of the table, near the back corner of the room. Our chef did not arrive at our table until after 7 p.m. He had the grill too hot, and the vegetables were burned. The other food items were cooked properly. The smoke from the grill was so heavy that it made my eyes water. The smoke had to have been worse for the chef. The waitress didn't visit our table often, and our drinks were empty before she came to refill them. Most of the chefs working tonight know our family, and I am surprised they did not notice the level of service we received. We will not be returning to the restaurant and would not recommend it to anyone.

Went here for the first Time and did not have a good experience. First of all the floors are so slippery we had to walk extremely careful. The bathroom smelled like an aquarium. We were sat at a hibachi table fairly quickly, but it took roughly an hour for the hibachi chef to come out. He started on the vegetables which were very minimalistic. The hibachi grill ended up turning off and he ended up moving us to a whole new table mid dinner. so we all had to carry our stuff including sauces over to the new one. The waitress was very sweet but we never got ice so we were all drinking hot drinks. We were there for a total of two hours. My steak was suppose to be medium rare but ended up well done by the way he was cooking them. Three of us that ate chicken felt sick to our stomachs shortly after as well. Not worth almost $200

I love Hananoki! Best Japanese Restaurant Ever! Everything that I’ve had was Delicious! My Favorite thing of all was their Dumplings. 🥟

We eat here as much as we can possibly afford! Absolutely my favorite place in Clarksville. NOTE: because it’s a great restaurant be prepared to wait but it’s worth it.
