We stopped by on a cross country trip and were happy we did. Leatherwood is a unique distillery with an extensive selection of creative and interesting products. Their Sweet Feed whiskey is excellent, the Georgia Peach is too, so is the Jalapeno Lemon rum, honestly everything we tried was outstanding. They do encourage samples so you can try before you buy a bottle, or you can buy a flight. And their craft cocktails are phenomenal. I highly recommend the Green Beret. Not incidentally, this is a Veteran owned and operated distillery, and they extend a heartfelt welcome to all guests. We wholeheartedly recommend Leatherwood Distillery and special thanks to Master Distiller Brian Lafond for his hospitality and excellent libations on 9/10/25.
I have been enjoying bourbon for over 40 years. I first tasted Leatherwood in Bristol Tennessee in June of 23'. I immediately found the taste to be a very enjoyable change to other various labels.
Leatherwood has continued to be a treat when looking for a good quality product that has a huge future, so ask for it wherever you patronize.
Thank you Andy!
Stayed here as a Harvest Host site on my way to St Louis. Tried several wonderful drinks and left with a bottle a fantastic peach flavored rum.
The product is pretty good and the prices are not bad. Enjoyed several of the whiskeys. The bartender was possibly one of the worst we have ever had. She knew nothing about their product, she misstated a lot of things based on the menu even. She also made a drink wrong, made a old fashion instead of a sour. Garnish was wrong, flavor was 100% old fashion. She argued that its just how they make it. Eventually added some lemon juice to make it sour.
I would have purchased a bottle if not for the bartender experience.
Tldr: good product, bad staff(at least the one).
Cool space to hang out and do a tasting or have a cocktail. Did a bourbon/whiskey flight and they have some solid options.
Being born in Indiana (Hoosier Hospitality), and having lived in Minnesota (Minnesota Nice), I consider myself well versed in friendliness. Leatherwood in Clarksville, Tennessee sets the standard for a friendly and comfortable place to enjoy time at! The mixologists were knowledgeable, and nice to chat with. Having found out it’s a veterans owned business the kids decided to play “Army” for an hour with the toys in the kids space. Next time we swing through, we will bring the dog and plan to stay for some live music!
Absolutely wonderful!
Great vibes, the bartender Desia was amazing, very friendly and drinks were perfect.
Planned a trip for Leatherwood specifically and added other stops. Leatherwood was IMO the least enjoyed. First I want to say we want to support any and all veterans. However, this is more of a bar. The staff was not welcoming. We had to ask for help and make the staff say hello. We did end up purchasing a couple bottles for support. Oh, and the most odd thing, there was a child's playroom inside the bar...
Great atmosphere.

Leatherwood always has the most welcoming bartenders and such fun drinks rotating through the menu. The drinks are high quality and Desia is the best!!
Amazing place. Got a bottle to take back home to New Mexico
Try the black flash rum.
Great atmosphere. Friendly staff. Wide and delicious selection of libations. Nice swag, bottles and candles for sale. The walls tell stories. So good, I held my retirement party there and have seen many others too. A must visit while in Clarksville. There’s a reason why it was voted 2024 Clarksville’s Best Distillery.
Friendly staff and great cocktails
