I am writing to share my recent experience at this location on December 25, 2024, which was quite distressing for me and my family. I’m not from the area and was visiting for the first time for the Christmas breakfast buffet. My family and I, which consisted of myself, my spouse, and our 20 month old decided to have breakfast out as a Christmas treat for the family, which ultimately went from nice to bad quickly.
During our visit, I discovered a bug in my toddler's drink. I have attached a picture of this for reference. This was not only alarming but also quite disgusting, especially considering the health implications involved.
I understand that these situations can happen, but as a parent, I was extremely concerned about what this could mean for my child's safety.
While I appreciate that the manager, Maria, addressed the issue by comping one meal and the drink, I felt that this response did not adequately reflect the severity of the situation. A more comprehensive apology and compensation would have been appropriate under the circumstances.
It is essential for food establishments to prioritize cleanliness and customer satisfaction, and unfortunately, I did not feel that either of these were achieved during my visit.
I hope that you will take this feedback into consideration to ensure a better experience for future customers because my family and I will not be returning.

We come here most Saturday mornings. If you don't like the breakfast here, then you must be a pre-Madonna. Before coming to Clarksville I would not eat at a Shoney's, and I'm still leary about eating at other Shoney's. Between Mrs. Kim and Mrs. Debera, there is no better treatment in Clarksville. The food is good and the service is great!

Every Veterans Day Shoney's disappoints me. Something similar happened last year but not as blantant. THEY have got to do better.
Why is it that I had on a bright pink female Veteran shirt, sitting at the table with 2 males and the server assumed that they were veterans and did not ask for ID or if they were Veterans. When I said I am a veteran also she looks at one of the males and said "you know I am going to need to see HER ID. I stated "if you need to see mine, don't you need to see theirs too? That was the exact moment she realized she made a messed up and tried to fix it. You can not fix it, ma'am!! Do better Shoneys! You should ask for EVERYONES ID! WOMEN ARE VETERANS TOO and deserve to be treated the same. Not only did the server question my service but she also questioned my integrity.
FYI: Its way easier for a man to pretend to be a Vet than it is a woman apparently because neither men that I was with had on vet gear nor did they ever say that they were veterans (even though they are). I said I was, had on Vet gear and I was still ID'ed. Make it make sense!
