This place is amazing 🤩 the food is so beyond delicious 😋🤤. We had half slab rbs with fried cornbread fried cabbage and macaroni and cheese. I love to eat. The portions are enormous. If you haven't tried them. Run don't wake get there

🦑One of the perks of my job is that I get to travel and find really cool places to eat.
🦑Today I stopped at South of the River BBQ in Clarksville, TN. An awesome little hidden gem!
🦑I had the ribs, pulled pork, fried cabbage and a piece of the chess pie. Wow!
🦑The smoke flavor on the meat was perfect. The ribs were falling off the bone, not dry, perfectly cooked by someone who loves what they do.
🦑The pulled pork was done to perfection, and I am a pulled pork snob!
🦑 The meat didn’t even need any sauce, but let me tell you about the sauces. I had the hot vinegar based and the sweet sauce. I don’t even know where to begin! Them sauces can make any meat taste even better.
🦑The fried cabbage was seasoned to perfection. Juicy and not soggy.
🦑 Chess pie taste just like grandmas on Thanksgiving.
🦑The family that runs this place took care of me. Monique and the whole team really focused on providing an experience that only a family who loves what they do could provide. I was honored to be sent away with a to go box/bag of great food to be sampled and enjoyed later.
🦑Come eat here ASAP! This food feeds the soul.

Chicken was dry (1pm in the afternoon)
Restaurant was filled with smoke, obvious the exhaust hood isn't working correctly.

Only thing going for this place is there's nothing else around

brown casserole I've ever had!!(& I've had alot)!!

Awesome food & service...a home run! Prices are very reasonable too....bring everyone you know here; they will thank you!!

We ordered a mess of the pulled pork and a giant slab of ribs with all the fixins and man it was delicious. Those ribs were lit. We’re fat & happy. Recommend!

Was looking for a bbq place in Clarksville and have now found my spot. Incredible service and great prices. I bought both pulled pork and the whole chicken. Probably one of the best bbq chickens I've had in many, many years. The owner told me they have been at this location for 10 years... and today I found out why. Great food, great value, and great service! Thank you!

My first time and I nearly cried when I tasted the food because it was as good as my grandmothers!!! Absolutely the best I’ve had since being in Tennessee this year!!

Hidden jewel! Service was spectacular and food was very good and flavorful and prices are reasonable! So glad I gave it a chance! Doesn't look like much from the exterior, but if you are a meat n veggies lover you'll love it. They have a ton of sides to choose from. They went above and beyond my expectations in service!
