I have eaten here all hours of the day over the years and it has always been delicious. I've never once had a meal come out incorrect or had to wait for a very long time. The staff there are always very quick and helpful. The sausage, egg and cheese biscuit is so good and their hash browns at breakfast time are great.
Food comes out very slow or very fast depending on the day. Some servers are fantastic, others youre lucky to see them twice. I've had food come out great and food come out almost opposite what I ordered. Sometimes you get your shake right away, other times it comes out with the check. I love Steak 'n Shake. This one just lacks consistency.

The food and shake were delicious. Our server, Cordelia, was good at first. After she brought the food and the check we asked for more napkins (I guess they were rationing them) but before we got them a couple of her friends came in and sat in her section so she never came back to our table again. I'd eat there again but not in her section
