Good spot for a traditional southern breakfast. For me it’s usually bacon, eggs, rye toast and grits. I also enjoy the omelet, which you can order any way you like (up to 3 ingredients). It’s all homemade, and service is friendly and pretty quick. The Choppin’ Block is a good option for breakfast, especially for I-24 travelers, who can drive about a mile past the chain places on MLK Parkway and get some good local Clarksville flavor.

Nastiest bathroom I’ve ever seen.

My wife and I walked in for lunch and told by lady #1 to sit "wherever." All the open tables were dirty. We returned to the counter and stood there. Lady 1, who seemed wanting to be anywhere but there did all she could not to acknowledge that we had not sat down. She finally called to the back while fidgeting with a plate in the window, scoffing as if she couldn't believe the cook had set yet another masterwork in the expo area, and asked that someone come help "this man." Lady #2, also seemingly disgruntled with the request, spoke to lady 1 and promptly turned around to retire to the kitchen. I guess she just didn't have time to speak with me. We retreated to the door. Won't be back for more abuse.

We did not get the chance to eat here. We walked in around 1 pm, the server told us we could sit anywhere. We looked around and all the available tables were dirty. We stood around for several minutes as the server was obtaining a customer's order from the window. She asked for another employee to come help her and we overheard her say she had to fix someone a sandwich on rye which the cook told her they didn't have, and the man ( my husband) needed something as she rolled her eyes. Not once did they ask us why we weren't sitting down. After several minutes, we left.
We may return in the future as we were told there this was really good. Hopefully, it was just a tough day for the team.

They're a great small business in the community. Super easy to buy a gift card for the holidays for a unique gift.

We came in for lunch. We were all wanting a burger and I have to say this was the best burger I have ever eaten. You can taste the quality of the meat instead of a bunch of seasonings. Definitely will be back to eat and buy our meat from here.

The meat is always oxidized! I don’t who would want oxidized beef! And the bacon wrapped shrimp…:. Who wants that, when the shrimp is frozen? Fresh only means one thing…FRESH. Fresh frozen is not a thing!

Got a bacon cheeseburger and it was juicy & flavorful with every bite. If you’re looking for a good burger this is definitely the place you go!!!!

I haven't eaten here in years and needed a quick bite between appts. Wow! The sandwich was perfect and paired with a twice baked potato. There was peach cobbler in the cooler and fresh brewed tea. Perfect lunch - delicious, fast, affordable, and great service! Definitely coming back.

Oh yikes…. The meat in their cases are a concerning shade of gray. Went in for a Boston butt and they were out, blessing in disguise after seeing their cased meats.

I absolutely love this place. Super friendly service, delicious food served with that extra little bit of effort especially when the owners are cooking and serving your food. Prices are great especially in today’s economy the choppin block remains affordable and delicious and a pleasure to dine at.

Great place for breakfast and lunch! We went for lunch & had the schnitzel with mac & cheese and beans, and a Cuban sandwich. Everything was fantastic. We also got some filets and a NY strip to grill that weekend, and we were very pleased with how they turned out. Reasonably priced and excellent quality! Staff is always super nice as well.

Stopped today 04/06/2024. Had a Less than fresh smell in the store…. bought a whole chicken (decently priced) a Boston butt ( decently priced ) also a 2.5 inch think ribeye. After cooking dinner for my family smoking the butt and chicken. I saved The steak for another night. The one thing I can say is I would Not feed the pork to anyone I smelled it and was very upset after cooking it, it smelled off (manure smell) . I made Sure to cook it past temp up to 185 even hoping it would go away. Still had smell and an off taste. I like Going to family owned places. But I don't See myself heading back. I lived Here 3 years ago and raved about this butcher shop. I’m not sure what happened but please fix it or I don't See you guys surviving. Because the pricing on other cuts of meat (tri tip and ribs) are insane ESPECIALLY IF ITS OF THE SAME QUALITY. Please fix it guys. I want You to win but I don't Want others to get sick or upset for wasting their money.
