First timers today and wasn’t aware we should have made a reservation . Even though, we were seated promptly ! Thoroughly enjoyed everything about it .. tea was wonderful and food was AMAZING ! Feel like this is a true hidden gem in Clarksville ! Happened to sit outside on the perfect day of the fall and was such a good experience ! Highly recommend just make sure to check days and hours prior to going .
Well, we sat down for 30min in this place. While the tables around us got served and no one acknowledged us. So, I went to the front and kindly said where we were sitting and that we did not get any servers yet, just to be laughed at when walking away back to my table. At least we got served... I have been to this place a lot and used to loved it but I won't be coming back due to this experience. I would suggest to train your new staff better as it is not the first time I have a bad experience with this particular employee. Thanks.
Overall had a decent experience, the food was phenomenal. I had the burrata with a cup of beef stew and they were both great. The restaurant itself is adorable and has a very cozy atmosphere. The tea was very good, flavorful but not overwhelming. I had the caramel apple which was delicious. My four stars however is that they do not have milk or honey(they do have some with CBD but I opted out of that option) to add to your tea. I enjoy my tea “english style” and was slightly disappointed by this as I would prefer not to use cream or simple syrup in my tea. The service was just slightly lacking although I believe they may have been new so I don’t hold that against them
I really enjoyed the food, the drinks and the atmosphere. The staff was nice

My only complaint is that I wish there were more options to choose from on their menu. Otherwise, the place has a cozy atmosphere, good food, and tasty tea ? ? ??

Oh. My. Goodness. I wish the little gem was open more often and was closer to my house. I would be here everyday just to get the Ginger Chai tea. I already want to go back to get some loose leaf tea to brew at home! The burrata toast with the peaches is incredible! I could eat it daily for breakfast. Absolutely nothing negative to say about the food or the teas at this place. Love love love!

EDIT: Has gone down, removing menu items in combination with limited hours, long waits and a more rushed environment makes for a far less pleasant experience. The removing of the vegan friendly items though really lost us regulars.
A little pricey, but if you’re looking for a special occasion to treat yourself it’s my first pick for sure! They have all sorts cool projects like making your own lotions, soaps and sanitizers while you wait for your meal. I’m obsessed over there vegan options and want to personally say, you’d never know the vegan tiers were plant based.

Dogelon Mars stop at the Mad Herbalist for a flight of tea and brunch.
You can choose to sit outside in a beautiful setting of an old Clarksville rustic home. You can order a flight of various teas sparkling, iced or hot with any of the flavors. You can also get one of each. They have a simple menu of the day with only a few options which is brilliant because now I have to go back and try the other options. This will force me to not order the same thing or sit with the menu pressured to decide. Decision fatigue is real lol. The setting was perfect for a long conversation and preferred over hearing cappuccino/espresso/blending machines while trying to have a real conversation.
The only suggestion I could add to is that I wish they would order the glass flower blooming teapots, teacups, and teas. Nothing would have brought this more joy than the addition of the blooming flowers in my tea. Look it up on Amazon to see what I mean. If you are eating, and having tea be prepared to spend over $50 a person.

Absolutely lovely assortment of teas and brunch. I wish there were more places like this around Clarksville. I liked the teas so much that I ordered some online. The Golden Tonic is definitely my favorite. The cabin has a delightful and comfy atmosphere ✨️

Husband took me here for brunch. I’m not familiar with tea or tea types or how it should be served so that was a little confusing. Our waitress Nola, did a phenomenal job of explaining the tea selection and menu. She also provided great service and was very personable and prompt. The banana foster fresh toast was amazing. I’m not a huge fan of whip cream, but that’s a personal preference. The brioche bread breakfast sandwich was good. It did come in a small box that was meant to keep it from falling apart but did give slight happy meal energy. The cheese/sauce something on the sandwich was to die for though, I’m still thinking about it. Husband got the avocado toast - he said it was good, but not the best he’s had. When we were there, they had their summer tea selection, they rotate this seasonally. They only have the brunch menu on Sundays. I also had the alcoholic spritzer, I’m not normally a spritzer girlie but it was really nice and refreshing for a warm summer morning. The porch seating is nice and shaded.
Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options were available, but not obvious on the menu
Parking: Parking lot is tight, best to back in. Additional parking at the house next door. Not a lot available
Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible on ground floor, but not great other than at the end of booths or picnic tables

If I could give this more stars I would. We have passed this restaurant for a few years with the intent to give it a try. We finally found some time to go for lunch, and what an experience it was! First, service is amazing and easily the best service we have had in Clarksville. We started with flights of their teas. At your table, they have samples of their teas in test tubes so that you can give them a smell before choosing. The 3 that we each chose were all awesome, but I think we liked the Jasmine Honeysuckle the best. We then ordered 3 dishes for lunch - the hummus, an order of Burrata Toast, and the Bacon Apple Grilled Cheese. The dishes are brought to the table on a 3-tiered display which we thought was pretty brilliant. Everything was delicious and made with fresh ingredients. We ended the meal with a mint chocolate pie which went well with the large hot tea we ordered.
We are kicking ourselves for waiting so long to try this wonderful restaurant. It’s a very unique dining experience for Clarksville. We highly recommend giving it a try, and we will be back soon!
