The service was good considering the poor server was limited by the fact that he had to contend with knowing the place serves items on the menu that were not going to be recommended by him. I appreciate the honesty he gave us. We asked for fresher chips, and he said in being honest that they prepare them in the morning and that they can't get them fresh to us. Really? Is it so hard to do fresh? Who wants cold stale chips? Then when our food finally came for everyone the food was cold for everyone. The plates were luke warm which is a bad sign in a Mexican restaurant. When we confronted the manager about it, He took offense. Some of our party just wanted theirs heated up in the microwave and some of them wanted it remade, but due to the way the manager responded made it very uncomfortable.

The food took almost an hour to come out and it wasn't that busy. When we received our meals ( 10) they were all cold. Our server was great the entire time and apologized. Two dinner were sent back to just microwave and the others had requested to have theirs remade. We're guessing it was the manager who was rude and argued that the food came out hot. The rest of the party didn't feel comfortable having it remade at this point and just asked for their checks. The same manager stood at the register arguing with each party as we paid for our meals. It was an awful experience.

Just hear me out.... best bacon cheeseburger around! I know it's a Mexican place...lol but try the burger and fries with queso u will not be disappointed.... it's only $7.50 it tastes good and reasonable price! Can't be beat!

Forgot to take pic of indigo fajitas but OMG it was all so good. Brought over half home. Queso tonight was thick , creamy and not to spicy and the salsa wasn't to spicy either... I come here about once a month and never leave unhappy ???

El Indio is the best Mexicsn quisine we have found since we moved to East Tennessee one year ago. The place is almost invisible, first time we tried to find it, we were at the back door and thought it was a former location that'd closed down. Later found the entrance next to Goodwill. Not a great location but it is a great restaurant. Servers are pleasant, food is always good, and price is right. My wife literally buys a week's supply of takeout meals there every Friday.
