Collierville Commissary

A far cry from the Germantown Commissary. I've now gotten food from this location several times and it is just a cut below the original. This time, I ordered a Jumbo pulled pork sandwich and about the only thing Jumbo about it was the bun itself. The pork was also a bit dry which was unexpected. This is now several times I have left disappointed. It's no longer one of the best and is just another average BBQ spot.

Enjoyed a great meal, nice environment with plenty of TV’s to watch college football games, and exceptional service. It was our server’s first night working at the Collierville Commissary and she did an outstanding job!

This was extremely disappointing. We made a reservation 5 days before going for a team dinner. We even confirmed 60 minutes ahead of time to follow up and provide a heads up and time frame as additional confirmation. We were sat in one room and given one server. He tried so hard and felt awful as he was not given the support to succeed. It took 45 minutes to get out drink order in with an additional 15 minutes for them to get to the table. Thus, 60 minutes just to receive water at the table. The single server was starting to take orders but there was no way he could get them in. I spoke with the manager and instead of supporting his team member & stepping in he was disruptive and went to the kitchen. It took another 15 minutes until the hostess (very kind and doing his best) began helping with order taking. Knowing they had a large group coming in 5 days with the additional 1 hour heads up, they were disorganized which increased ridiculous wait times, service and overall experience.

This place has got to be under new management. It's terrible! I guess they've hired alot of young snobby people. They are super unsanitary. This place is disgusting and filthy. I see why they are losing business.

We had out of town guests who wanted to have some of the best Memphis ribs. They were terrible and very dry. Hard to cut. Sorry but we won’t be back

Take a picture of your receipt after you add the tip and compare it to your credit card statement. Twice they doubled my $3 tip to $6 for their lunch buffet. The first time I thought it was an error by the person that keyed it in, but when it happened for the second time, I realized that they have a staff member not being honest. Even though the food was good, I am not going back for their dishonesty.

I love The Commissary for the BBQ and their beans are my favorite in the area. I don’t like leaving negative reviews, so my goal is that the manager will see this. I want to note that the women’s bathrooms—neither of the stall locks work, and the bathroom was pretty dirty. It needs a remodel or something, for sure. Other parts felt dirty too. Like the front glass doors were covered in dirty hand prints. The service wasn’t terrible but we did wait for quite a while for anyone to take our drink order. It was a Sunday lunch, so being busy is understandable.
