Food has no taste. Service was horrible. When we asked for a to-go box he just threw it on the table. The inside looked nice but the food and the service were horrible. Do not recommend if you want to eat authentic Mexican food.

The problem with this place is sometimes it is good and sometimes it is horrible. They are always understaffed . Half the tables are empty and they ask you to wait. The texas margarita machine has bee broken for 2 years. The menu has half the items as the other locations. We have been going here for years but I think its over. New places are coming and we will not be returning.

The food was good. Guac tasted like playdough. I gave her $50 (bigger bills) for our $33.73 check, and she brings out change for me to "try again" to pay her. She proceeds to stand over me as I'm counting the money and counting out the tip. She was also very rude and short the whole time. Won't be back.

Best Mexican restaurant in area for seating large (6>) groups and families with children. Can be loud. Good food and fast service.Kid-friendliness: Wide open spaces and loud atmosphere takes anxiety out of eating out with younger children.

We were at El Porton in Collierville for lunch today (Jan 13, 2024). Ordered fajitas. There was a cockroach cooked into my rice! I saw it before I took a bite, but I almost vomited at the table. The waitress did not care about it, and the manager refused to come over. They tried to charge us for my husband’s plate even though he didn’t eat because we only found it in one meal. I will never eat there again! Terrible customer service and terrible way to run a business.

Our waitress, Uma, was awesome to top off everything else. We left full and smiling. Thanks Uma.
Went in around 8 pm. Got seated quickly and service was fast and friendly. I got the chicken chimi. It was delivered fast and hot. They don't go heavy on spice and the chicken was very good, moist and tasty. The waitress checked on us often but not so much as to interrupt. Check came fast. We were never rushed but never had to wait either. Good experience.
