Time after time, this Gus's restaurant delivers the most delicious, crispy, hot and juicy chicken with just the right amount of spice.I had the half chicken meal with baked beans and slaw. I usually don't post many if any negative reviews, but this time I was let down. I gave Gus's a try and this ended up being the worst chicken I have ever had. I am big fan of Hattie B's and some of the fast food fried chicken joints and thought I would try something different, but this was a let down in comparison. My wife and I split a 3 piece white chicken meal and the meat down to the bone was so salty our tongues and roof of our mouths felt burnt from the salt burn nearly an hour later. One of the pieces was tough as well and sides were mediocre. I would like to note that the staff and service were excellent!

The food is good, they need a better selection on sides. The beans taste just like they were poured out of the can ans someone added some ketchup. The Mac and cheese is underwhelming. The atmosphere is loud more of a bar setting with lots if noise and t.vs. Some of the wait staff are friendly but not all of them. The good thing about it is the Chicken is delicious.

There's a reason why Gus's is World Famous Chicken. It's AMAZING! Their chicken has a little bit of spice, and you can only get it one way (no choice of mild or spicy). Their fried green tomatoes, baked beans, and their macaroni & cheese have to be tried with it. If you're still not full, you have to get a piece of that rich chocolate chess pie. Hint: Ask for it to be warmed up!
