We just had our 50 Year reunion in their private dinning room - oh my goodness what a perfect night. Everything from start to finish was outstanding! From the ambiance to the excellent service and the food was delicious! We had 49 people and they are still raving about the whole experience! It is not easy to please everyone, but Jim's Place Grille did just that! Kristy helped us from start to finish and was there for any question as well as menu recommendations. If you are having an event and want a perfect night - look no further- this is your place! Thank you again Kristy and staff for making our 60 year reunion a truly special night!

Unprofessional and rude, lied about availability and would not seat my parents, never go to this racist environment, they had a gift card that they weren't able to use because of how they were treated

I had one of the most positive dining experiences I have ever had today during the Lunch hour at Jim's Place. The food was great and the service we got from Will L was some of the best I have ever had. Way to go both for the restaurant and our wonderful server.

Who let's food get served this way? The potatoes were charred. Evidently there's not a sous chef.

Just hosted rehearsal dinner @Jim’s place and Grill 4/4/25. It was an amazing experience. They provided event coordinator (Kristy) who answered/returned every call and questions I had. She allowed me early access to decorate (which is set up beautifully on its own). She made suggestions for local florist @C&J florists who also did a beautiful job. We had 4 dedicated servers who each were very knowledgeable and anticipated our needs. And the food was AMAZING!!! Will make the hour trip just for the crab meat topped filet!

It took a minute for me to decide whether or not to write this review, as I’m a fairly regular Jim’s patron, and usually everything is on point. But anyway, here goes. Saturday night, April 12, my 21 year old son and I show up a few minutes early for our 8 pm reservation in the bar/lounge area and were seated right away. Our server was awesome, although I’m terrible with names and don’t recall hers. Drinks by Christina were great, as usual. I noticed it didn’t seem as busy as usual but atmosphere was still pretty good. Food…I ordered the crab cakes appetizer and my son ordered chargrilled or charbroiled oysters. Crab cakes were great but the oysters, not so much. For our entrees I ordered a medium rare ribeye w/ spinach and a house salad. My son ordered medium rare lamb chops and not sure of his sides. The sides were good but my steak and his lamb chops were cooked rare. Very rare. I ate mine anyway but the lamb chops were just too rare for my son so we decided to send them back to the kitchen. Server agreed that they were very rare and said no problem. When the lamb chops were brought back they were cooked well done and the bones to the chops were burned to a crisp. Completely black and literally would break if you tried to pick one up or maneuver it on the plate. I don’t know if there was a different cook that night (we always order medium rare) or if it made him/her mad that we sent them back. Anyway, it was nowhere near cooked medium rare either time. Very disappointing experience for spending $300 for two people to dine. I didn’t say anything to our server because it absolutely had nothing to do with her and I wasn’t looking to have the bill adjusted. My point is simply something was off on Saturday night, the 12th. My hopes are that management can identify what exactly that was and correct the issues. We will be back, for sure.

Our server was outstanding! Our steaks were cooked to perfection. Can't wait to go back!

Pricey but great. It’s not the only pricey restaurant in town. I bought one piece of pie and it cost me $11. I could have bought an entire pie for that amount. I didn’t ask before ordering it so it was my mistake. Other than the price the food is really great. I would highly recommend it.

If I could give 6 stars I would. Best steak filet ever. Great drinks. Memphis Creme Cake......ruined me from eating anywhere else in Memphis!

Too expensive for the food and poor service. Better steak at Texas road house for a quarter of the price here.

This is a fantastic restaurant. The food is top-notch and the service is excellent. The ambience is perfect. I highly recommend this restaurant, one of the best in Memphis.
