Our waitress was fabulous and explained every entree we had questions about in detail. Excellent wine selection. Our entrees were delicious. The blackened grouper was perfect! The restaurant is in a strip mall but once you enter the doors, you feel like you are in a stand alone restaurant because the decor and atmosphere seem more high end that what we expected from the exterior. Will be back!
We had reservations for 7:15 on Saturday night, we were greeted immediately and shown to our table. Our server was Jason and he was attentive and efficient in his service. We ordered the Souflima as an appetizer and 2 New York strip steaks with sides for entrees. The souflima was very good. The steaks were cooked perfectly in the inside (medium) but the outside of both sides of both steaks were charred. To the point that the only way we could eat the steaks were to cut off the top layer of what could be called bark, and eat only the inside of the steak. I asked Jason about it and he stated “ that’s what hickory fired looks like, you could have asked for light char.”This was my first time eating here and would have liked to have known ahead of time that I needed to request how charred i would like my steak.They was clearly burnt, an excuse was given instead of a solution.The ledge and the candles on the ledge by our booth were extremely dusty

Where do I start? As soon as you enter Jim's Place Grille, you are greeted by Kat or several other very polite, attractive and friendly young ladies! When sitting at the bar, Will, Drew, Favi and Christina make a great Bloody Mary. For lunch I really enjoy the hamburger and fries, excellent quality and cooked to order. For dinner, I start with a cup of Gumbo soup, garden salad with Greek dressing and a nice steak again, cooked to order. I must admit living in San Francisco for the last 15 years has spoiled me and turned me into a real foodie! Jim's Place Grille is as good as any dinner house in SF! Oh, I almost forgot the best homemade Key Lime Pie, period!!!

Loved our time there. The food is excellent and cooked as requested. Wait staff is phenomenal. My husband was missing an available bread basket or loaf as there are no offerings for it. However, everything was great. The atmosphere the food the staff and even the other patrons. Loved it.
We came here to celebrate our 5 year anniversary. We started off with the crab cakes which were delicious. Then I ordered the lamb which was cooked perfectly, and he had a ribeye. His steak was a more on the well side and overcooked rather than medium/medium well and the plating of my lamb was a little messy. We skipped dessert as that menu didn't have much that was exciting.Overall the meal was great and service was fantastic..
