The server did not get one order correct. I'm sure he just didn't understand, which it was ordered plainly. We just didn't bother saying anything and kept it. When paying the bill I looked for the health score. It was very hard to find because there was so much crowding it. To my dismay it was a 77. I was shocked. They have even been featured in the Collierville magazine for goodness sake. I came home and looked them up on the TN Health Department Restaurant Score and sure enough the last reading was a 77 on the official TN website!! That was in May 2025. I'm very surprised they have not returned to recheck them. However, we will find another mexican restaurant. So disappointing.

The owner replied to me look again 98. Well it maybe now but it wasn't when we were there. Also looked it up on WREG Score Card and TN Health Department and it WAS 77. I'm very thankful your restaurant has been able to fix all the many concerning faults. Good luck!

Came here for lunch with a group of friends. Friendly staff and orders taken right away. Food was just OK. Chips were fresh and salsa was good, queso dip was a little watery, taco salads were a little small, enchilada was good but not wonderful, chile relleno was small and soggy and not recommended - food was brought out quickly but server never returned to refill drinks or to check on us for anything - the only time she returned was to give us the checks.

La Perla always has the best food and service, our favorite Mexican restaurant in town!! They have the sweetest family owners who know you by name and are always happy to see you. Highly recommend!

Been back again and again but ....
Time to do a deep clean. Air vents in the back area gross. Table damaged and wobbles. Been like this for months . Atmosphere 1 star now

Great food and great service excellent steak nachos. Been here 15x always good food at reasonable prices. Going tomorrow.

We love this restaurant and come here very often. Our problem is with the owner and his attitude and false advertising. We came here for cinco de mayo for a special $8 jumbo margarita. We ordered a lime and raspberry jumbo margarita. The raspberry was $15 and the lime was $8. The special mentioned nothing about lime being the only choice for the special. Clearly this is false advertising enticing customers to order jumbos in any flavor they offer and then upcharging them on the back end. We tried to remedy the situation with the owner and he was a jerk as usual. Most customers rarely deal with him unless it’s a busy night, but most people will tell you he is very unpleasant with every interaction.

Excellent food and services

The service was pleasant and attentive. The food was fresh and tasty. The guacamole was especially good.

A good place for some great Tex-Mex food. The restaurant was crowded when we arrived but we didn't have to wait more than five minutes to get a table. The secret highlight was the simplicity of chips and dip, but the main courses were delicious as well! Would definitely recommend, both for vegetarians and carnivores!
