I visited this restaurant over the weekend and had a less than stellar experience. I believe SOB has significant FOH problems and is only being kept afloat by decent food. When walking in for brunch, we were assaulted by a scented candle in the host area of the restaurant which was my first red flag. No decent restaurant will light a scented candle. We then waited at least 5 minutes before the host reappeared to seat the party in front of us and then seat us. No, the host was not seating other guests, they were MIA. Red flag #2. Upon sitting down, I asked about a kids menu and found out they don’t “have a published kids menu”. Red flag #3. Let me also tell you they don’t have a non-published kids menu. If you bring a child, they will be ordering the same overpriced food that is on the main brunch menu.
After the waitress brought us some flavored popcorn with no explanation of what it was (if you have a cinnamon allergy do not eat), asking if we wanted appetizers, she quickly scampered off to another table. At this point, I noticed two tables sitting near us that were just sitting waiting. This should have been red flag #4 but I thought they were just waiting for their food. Nope, they were waiting for the wait staff to get them out of there. Eventually the waitress came back and took our drink orders and ran off again. After another 5-minute wait, she came to take our order. When my child ordered the birthday cake pancakes, she promptly upsold them on not just bacon but also eggs. This turned the “kids meal” from $12 into $22, far more expensive than any other item ordered. She saw an opportunity to upsell a helpless child and took it. Now let me assure you that I understood the waitress was upselling for a bigger ticket in hopes of a bigger tip, and I wasn’t going to stop my kid from ordering what they wanted. Please note that NO WHERE on the menu does it have a price for these additions nor did she say how much they would cost. That’s bad business.
After placing our order, we waited at least 20 minutes for the food to come out. Once we got our food, we were pleasantly surprised by how delicious it was. The waitress checked on us once about 5 minutes after we got our food. Then we were done eating and waited and waited. After another 20 minutes, we handed our card over without seeing the check so we could get out of there and she mentioned getting to-go boxes. She returned with the check for signature and we got to see how much those upcharges cost ($5 for two strips of bacon is pretty outrageous) She only brought 1 to go box when we needed 3. We asked for more, and she never returned. We waited for 5 minutes and watched the new tables around us not have service. We listened to them complain about how bad service had been at previous visits. We watched people look around for the wait staff not being helped. It was a complete cluster. Good food that we paid significant $$$$ was left behind. I don’t know if the wait staff was spread thin (we only saw 3 of them) or if they are poorly trained, but I can tell you the sour impression they left in our mouths overtook any happy feelings we had about the food.
Save yourselves the time, don’t come here. We won’t be back. One whiff of that scented candle should send you over to Rotolo’s next door. The food is just as good, cheaper, and you will have a far better experience overall.

Relaxed atmosphere, and you've got try the Philly cheese steak egg roles. I recommend the Chicken Enchilada Bowl for dinner and the most important part, dessert! The bread pudding is on a different level! It had a crisp edge with vanilla ice cream... with the cinnamon and sugar your mouth will be going for bite after bite!

My girlfriend and I had our 3 children with us. We weren't even allowed past the front hostess station. This girl was terribly rude. Claimed there were no tables available, at 5PM on a Saturday, where no one else was waiting to be seated. I saw at least 3 open booths and two other open tables right there by the front entrance. The girl said we couldn't be seated without a reservation. Didn't apologize for the inconvenience, didn't say anything further. We will not bother ever going back to give this place our business.
This is as a delicious meal! They start you off with some popcorn, and from there it just gets better. We tried the cauliflower, a rice bowl, and the salad with chicken. All of it was very tasty but the best was the cauliflower. Our server was attentive and came by frequently to make sure we had everything we needed. The setting is modern and quaint, such a cute spot for a girls lunch!

Ordered a Shawarma bowl for take out today, came home to realize they gave me such a pedestrian amount of rice, it’d be laughable had I not spent my money. I mean, I’m talking maybe 1/4 cup of rice, and I know it isn’t regularly served like this, as I have ordered the same thing, once inside dining, and another time as takeout in the past 3 months, just shows the food prepped did not care, especially with it being a take out order. That’s enough to lose me as a customer.

It's absolutely disgusting for the waitresses to put their bare hands on your straw and place it in the glass. They handle plenty of menus and money with so many germs. But you all touch the patrons straws. Disgusting!!! I don't think so!! The staff is unprofessional.

If I can give this place zero reviews I would. The food is disgusting. My burger was overcooked and the fries tasted like there were someone else’s and stuck them on my plate.

On a beautiful Sunday afternoon I decided to have lunch after church. After searching for somewhere to eat I came across SOB. They have an item on the Menu named The Hungry Vegan Bowl. I said I’m on my way to SOB. I’ve been vegan for 7 years and it’s hard to find restaurants with a vegan option. Beautiful atmosphere and great service by Jessica. I decided to order the vegan bowl to only be let down by Jessica that they don’t have the vegan bowl. It’s on the menu but they don’t have it. You should have seen my face. Jessica tried to make it better by offering a black bean burger so I went for it like a fool. The black bean burger is deep fried just like about 60 % off the menu. I was highly disappointed. If you love fried food check out SOB however if you’re vegan don’t go if you’re hungry because they sure won’t have The Hungry Vegan Bowl ?.
