Umami Japanese Steakhouse

Ok. I don’t do Google reviews often but my wife and I had a horrible experience. 1. AC was not working well. 2. Bar blender was right behind my wife’s head. 3. We asked for 2 waters and received one water and one Dr Pepper. 4. Waiter took our order fine. Wife ordered sushi and I ordered a steak / chicken combo. Wife’ sushi came out pretty quickly but found a bug in one of the pieces! 5. Then my combo came 30 min later! 6. My soup and salad never came. No check in, no water refills. 7. We never got a check. We finally just estimated the cost (with tip) and left cash on the table. As I said. Horrible. Won’t be back.

Delicious. Crab Rangoon and the Fried Calamari were superb, the best ever. Better than I had frequently tasted in Singapore. And the dipping sauce of sweet and sour infused with chillies was a perfect blend of spice and sweet.

Of course, the family enjoyed the Hibachi chef's demonstration of skills. The vegetables were the best ever and the fried rice was tasty (could have been happy just to have fried rice and vegetables).

The only disappointment was after ordering our 3 entrée of Filet Mignon medium, after being cubed for cooking the meat was a touch well done.

Dinner was great! The air conditioning was not working at the time, but the service was awesome! We ate the tempura roll, yellow tail roll, spicy crab meat roll and chicken fried rice. Other members ate the steak and shrimp hibachi, Tonkatsu ramen, stir fried noodles with shrimp, and crab rangoons, Dragon roll, and the Time Square dish. Everything was delish!!

Very nice clean and comfortable little restaurant. Service was really quick and the food was very good. The hibachi tables looked really fun and enjoyable. I only eat cooked fish rolls and the ones I chose were really good and very filling. I really enjoyed the Hawaiian roll. My husband had steak and chicken hibachi and really liked it. We will definitely be back.

We ate here for dinner Monday evening, and had the best Hibachi meal we've ever had! The steak was cooked to perfection, the rice and vegetable were also perfectly served. Soup and a salad preceded the meal, and they were also delicious. Service, cleanliness, price...it was all great! We'll be regulars from now on!

I have been going to this restaurant for 5 maybe 6 years. The food is is good, real good. I recommend trying the Ninjia and Spanish Volcano. If not, then something in the special roll category. My last meal was two orders of special rolls, tempura upon soup and of coarse a couple shots to drink one called Toki.

This is one of our favorite places to take our family/ granddaughters. The staff are amazing and are very attentive to the customers. The food is prepared on the Hibachi grill and the chef puts on a great culinary display! The portions are very generous.

I love this place. Servers are attentive, food is amazing, music is calm and relaxing, and they have a great drink menu. I highly recommend the Carribean Tropic sushi roll.
