August Sage Cafe

My siblings and I hosted our parents 60th wedding anniversary celebration at August Sage. Sara and her team were so incredible to work with. The space was the perfect size and vibe for the party, and all of our guests loved the food and drinks. Sara and Anna Grace were so helpful throughout the planning process and we highly recommend these wonderful people for your next event!

Me and my bestie ate brunch here and it was amazing!! Teddy Graham Latte was so cute and absolutely delicious!! Love the vibe and the food!! I will definitely be hanging out here again.

Wife and I were excited to try this place after seeing all the reviews. Came on a slow afternoon, we were the only ones there.

The waitress was clearly uninterested in having anything to do with us - bad attitude, very short with us, brought us room temperature “hot” lattes, then ignored us without taking the rest of our order for 15 minutes.

She got what she wanted - we paid the cashier and left. Will not be coming back, unacceptable customer service.

They had me at “Herb Butter Candle.” Delicious food and lattes. We stopped by for brunch early on Sunday and the staff was so friendly. We will be back soon!

August Sage has the best coffee in town. Make sure to try the food there too because everything on the menu is delicious. I personally love the Croque Monsieur and my wife and I always get the butter candle for an appetizer. And the owners are great people too so come support a local business. Highly recommend August Sage.

Excellent Sunday brunch. Really enjoyed visiting this place. The food is gourmet style, super tasty and unique. It was our first time and we are definately going back. There was supposed to be live music, but apparently the artist was having technical issues with the sound system. Be aware that coffee is also charged per order (no refil). Its in the Factory in Columbia, several antique stores around. Great book club venue to meet your girlfriends or breakfast date. Marvelous creme Burlee Dip appetizer, like nothing you've ever tasted.

Food is not overly intricate but well executed and flavorful. The drink menu is good, with simply unique versions of the favorites and standards. The service was timely and attentive, but not intrusive.

In summary, I give it 5s across the board! Come try it!!

I really want to love August Sage. I've been here twice, with about a month or so between visits, and both times they were out of the black bean burger bowl. Such a bummer and disappointed a couple of us in the group. With limited vegetarian entree options, it seems it would be important to make sure this is available for customers.

This place deserves all the hype! For lunch, brunch, or just a cafe to enjoy a coffee during the week day. We have been here 3xs since we moved to the area and I love it. The Croque monsiuer is wonderful! And their blackberry cold foam coffee is also amazing. Even their homemade lemonade is fantastic! Haven’t had a chance to try a cocktail yet but we will be back for date night soon to try some :) Enjoy, and be patient because it’s a small staff, small kitchen, and everything is made to order.
