I’d share a photo of the “SAMMICH” we shared but we abolished it before we could even think to take a photo - first time coming in and definitely not our last - plus homemade chips and ranch ?! Uhg - leaving with full stomachs and smilesssss 🖤
Very exciting lineup of beers- some light, some hoppy, some high gravity, etc. Belgian tripel very close to Golden Monkey. The English mild had an off flavor. Generally not well crafted to-style but good effort. Loud.
Great food and good beer. I never would have tried the sandwich I got today but the name sold me “The Mothman”. I would 100% get it again and recommend it to everyone. My mom got the Ed beer and it was very light and mellow. The hard seltzer was fresh and great for the warm weather today. We will be back for sure!
Stoping on my travels and I love breweries. Ethan was amazing. Sandwich and slaw were on point, paired perfectly with an alcohol seltzer. Only thing I wish was able to get a sticker to add to my collection, they didn’t have any😥😥
Love the beer and the friendless of the staff! Also love that we were able to bring our pup in on a rainy day! Can't wait to come back again!
This place is amazing. Super welcoming environment, great staff, and some of the best beers in the south east. Some “weird” reviews but don’t be fooled by the trolls. This place is a gem in Muletown.
Wonderful evening celebrating 5 years of Bad Idea Brewing yesterday. Lucky enough to run into Justin Jones, State Representative. Perfect mix of the best people, food and beer. Can’t wait to return.
We have been patrons of Bad Idea for 5 years. I am always so impressed with the atmosphere and the beer. The staff are friendly and helpful. It’s a great place to meet friends and make new friends. I love their partners Ollie and Finns just as much. A place where all are welcome and safe.
The IPA that was recommended was not very good. Not a great atmosphere and as a conservative Christian it did not feel like a safe space.
Update: I think the owners response shows great ignorance. The owner makes assumptions about myself and puts the blame back on me and even suggests that maybe there is no public place where I would feel safe and that I am the one who is not tolerant. If a gay person had made this comment, my guess is that the response would have been quite different. No, you do not honestly welcome everyone and you need to look at your own viewpoints more honestly and do better to actually do what you say.
On our stop it was a rather negative vibe. The staff were not friendly. The beer was mediocre. We did not order food based on the above

When we walked in, we wanted to immediately walk out but didn't want to be rude, so we got beer. The atmosphere is unappealing at best, the beer is mediocre, and the staff were uninviting. I guess this is the new location but honestly there are several better places for a beer and a meal within 5 minutes. We couldn't leave fast enough.
Had a great time here! Carrie has great customer service and was super helpful. I recommend the Orange Crush seltzer!
Still one of the best breweries in middle Tennessee. I do miss the old location and outdoor space, but now there is an outstanding sandwich shop and you’re walking distance to everything the square offers.
Mothman sandwich and dirty cucs were an absolute hit. They flew off my plate faster than the mythical creature itself. The White IPA might have flown too close to the sun though ?
Incredibly interesting menu of food and beers. Great quality on both sides.
