This is the best BBQ place in Columbia thanks to Mrs. Shirley. The dining room is finally open and we brought the 1 1/2 lbs. Family pack. We ate most of it in the dining room and have plenty for leftovers.
The staff is friendly, the barbecue isn't bad, and the wait time is short. However, the sweet tea had a weird aftertaste and I'm pretty sure the cole slaw was just chopped cabbage soaked in vinegar. The beans were alright.
Good quality pulled pork, fully cooked and moist but not much smoke flavor, especially for southern bbq. (Needed a lot of sauce.) Nice people and quick service. Spent $15 for two. Potato chips are Golden Flake, a peculiar brand from Birmingham, "the original southern potato chip".
