The staff was friendly and helpful, and the food was incredible. I got the fried chicken, mashed potatoes and mac and cheese. It was wonderful. The chicken was hot, juicy and spiced beautifully. The fruit tea was so good. I tried the pecan pie for dessert at the recommendation of one of the staff members and it was one of the best pecan pies I’ve ever had. I will definitely be back.

My kind of place. Good home cooking, meat and 3 style order at the window run by the kindest people you’ll ever meet. My country fried steak came smothered in a rich, dark gravy. The meat was so tender I could easily cut it with a plastic fork. The sides of mashed potatoes and fried okra were great. And do not sleep on the fruit tea!

The food would have been good if it was hot. The service was good until it was time to leave and we had to wait a while for someone to come ring us up. The dining room was filthy and ugly. They need to clean up and renovate, and take the kitchen coolers out of the dining room. Very nice people and a great menu, but the environment does not make me want to return.
We will be forever indebted to the kind strangers who recommended Omega's. This wonderful hole-in-the-wall is a Columbia favorite for good reason. The friendliness of both the staff and the regulars had us feeling warm and cozy. The food is as real as it gets and as good as it gets. If you are looking for a trendy twist or a creative fusion, you should look elsewhere. If you want to taste the south at its best, both in terms of food and friendliness, this is the place. If you miss it, you are missing out!
