Today, we visited Pita Plus Gyros with our family and had an amazing experience. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the food was absolutely delicious. The meat dishes and fresh salads were particularly impressive. The baklava we tried for dessert also made the whole family happy. I highly recommend it

I live on the west side of town where there are two newer places to get gyro platters and I have tried them both. Pita plus is significantly better than the other two that are closer to my home. Their portion size is larger and their food just taste better all around and is worth the drive to the other side of Columbia.

We have gone here for the past few years but nothing has been updated in the dining room or the menu. The food is decent. However there soda machine doesn’t work and we order food and sat down with 3 more people waiting then 3 more people came in and ordered and everyone was served and we were still Sitting there waiting. 35 minute + ticket time for lunch and being incorrectly served is outrageous I won’t be coming back. I like to support small bussiness but when they are making an effort to run it right which I don’t believe this place is. I think it’s time to try the new Gyro place after the experience today.

From the very first bite, I realized this place isn’t just serving food, they’re serving happiness wrapped in pita bread 😍. The owners are amazing — you can feel their passion and sincerity in every detail, from the warm welcome to the last bite of gyro. I walked in curious and walked out full, happy, and already planning my next visit. This place is pure joy — highly recommend with a big smile and an even bigger appetite! 😋🥙🎉”

We're recent transplants from the D.C. area and were amazed tonight to find this great Greek place. My wife and I agree that the gyros (huge with delicious lamb and pita bread) and the baklava (homemade, flakey, nutty) were the best we've had anywhere. Also extremely inexpensive despite the high quality. I look forward to trying out their spinach pies.
The man behind the counter who took our order and served us was kind, knowledgable, and solicitous. The gyros came out fast and hot.
I gave it 5/5 for atmosphere, too, because it was clean, safe, cool (for late July), genuine and unpretentious. I know many differ with me on this point, but those five qualities are all I need to accompany great food and service.
UPDATE: Since the original review, we've been eating here just about every week. They are constantly experimenting with new menu items. They always get it right. A couple of weeks ago, it was a pastry with spinach. Tonight it was grilled chicken chunks in a savory sauce with feta on their great pita bread. No name for it yet.
Just a great experience with outstanding food. Our favorite restaurant in Columbia!

Love this place! The food is always fresh and service is great! They have a new sandwich thst I call the “Greek chicken fajita sandwich.” It is AMAZING and I highly recommend it! The price is reasonable and they are very clean little spot to stop in to.

I came to Pita Plus for the first time and tried the chicken gyro — I absolutely loved it! The flavor was amazing, and the portions were more than generous. The staff were incredibly warm, friendly, and welcoming. I left not only full but also happy, and I’ll definitely be coming back! 🌟

Can't be the same owners. The tzatziki sauce is no where near the same... the flavor is different salad isn't made the same either. Husband said the dad who was almost always the cook was not present and none of the family members of his were there that we came to know over the last several years... I am highly disappointed.. I ordered gyro fajita plates one lamb one chicken with sides cups of tzatziki sauce.. traded rice for fries on one plate they usually would put the fries in a separate container.. not today with these people put them under the meat... Summary is if the original owners are gone we will not be returning.
