A Culinary Gem – Prime & Pint Delivers on Every Level As locals that live 1-block from Columbia's Historic Square and have dined on The Square well over a 1000 times over the last decade, we believe Prime and Pint is Hands down the best restaurant Columbia has ever had. Chef Brian Baxter is a true culinary artist and Columbia is extremely lucky to have him (Resume: The Catbird Seat, Husk, Bastion, McGrady's, Bluezoo to name a few). My wife and I are anti-social media, but we find it humorous that we both monitor Prime & Pints - Daily Specials in order to never miss out. A few of the standout entrees that we've loved include Shrimp Aguachile, Soft Shell Crab, Fried Chicken (seasoned with fruit marsala and cranford hollow honey), Seafood Tower, Prime Rib, and the Pablano stuffed Chile Burger! The sides are equally amazing and should never be overlooked. In 2025, sourcing high quality front-of-house and back-of-house staff is far from an easy task, but at Prime & Pint, you get the strong sense that this team is like family. The service is warm, attentive, and welcoming without ever feeling forced. The staff is knowledgeable, personable, and clearly takes pride in what they do – a testament to great hires / leadership. As for ambiance, P&P strikes the perfect balance between upscale and approachable – inviting, stylish, and full of character. Whether you’re there for a date night, business dinner, or to indulge in Chef Baxter’s latest masterpiece, Prime & Pint delivers in every way!

Prime Rib night was great, fine dining is such a production of not only great food, great atmosphere & SERVICE and tonight…. I had it all! I always celebrate getting Adam as my server, he is tops in every way but I also really enjoy Thomas, but tonight I met Cricket & Audrey & chatted with & met some of the regulars! Food was great, atmosphere was fun & upbeat and I adore the staff, Bryan as head Chef, my friend Chris ❣️also rocking that kitchen. It’s is very hard to get the right blend of people in food service but I think Gabe has added some real rock stars to his already strong core team. I would dine there every night just to enjoy his staff, THAT is the secret sauce of every successful restaurant anywhere🌷

Fantastic again! Lunch was on par, burrata app as a favorite. Prime burger and smoked chicken salad sandwich, perfectly done. The only sad thing is I needed to force my lady to stop me from eating the truffle fry’s. I was no longer hungry just kept eating. 😂

Best date night spot in Columbia !!!

Everything from the handcrafted charcuterie board with their own meats and cheeses, to the ribeye steak, Prime burger and fresh catch Mahi-Mahi was amazing! Service and management were top notch. Restrooms were clean. Drinks were on point. What a fantastic evening with friends ? & Can't wait to come back soon--thanks!

After my first experience here I cannot brag enough I have told every person about this restaurant! The food the drinks the servers the cooks the owner! AMAZING!!!! Fine dining!

A week ago, Friday, I brought my friend and my sister for a birthday dinner to Prime and Pint. All three of us started out with the wedge salad, which was delicious. Cold and crisp, and the homemade ranch dressing with blue cheese crumbles was the perfect consistency to filter down through the leaves of the lettuce wedge. For my entrée, I had the halibut. It was served with a delicate citron beurre blanc which complemented and did not overpower the fish. The halibut was firm yet flaky, juicy with a perfect flavor that was not at all fishy. We had grilled asparagus for our side, which was done beautifully. Of course, no dinner is complete without dessert and we enjoyed the six layer dark chocolate cake, and we asked to have it with ice cream. It was large enough for us all to split it three ways. I had to compliment the chef on the way out, the halibut was that good. The service was spot on, friendly and knowledgeable. Can’t wait to go back. Thank you Prime & Pint for taking so much care with our food.

This is my 4th time at Prime and Pint and it’s only getting better on every visit. Good quality food and fantastic service. Adam was great! It’s the 2nd time he’s been our server and not only is he attentive, he’s personable and knowledgeable. It’s so nice that our little town has a quality dining experience like prime and pint! We’ll definitely be back!!!! :)

We tried Prime & Pint for the first time yesterday. We started with the charcuterie board, which was amazing. We both chose steak for our main course with a side of fries (best fries ever!) and collard greens. Everything was delicious and we can’t wait to go back. Special shoutout to Adam who provided awesome service!

This was a lovely experience. It’s an up and coming spot next to downtown Columbia with a simple and warm atmosphere. The proteins here are the star. My bone in rib-eye was incredibly tender. The drink selection is contentious and vast. Pricey but worth it, a star in the area. Service was fantastic.

Prime and Pint brings it strong - everytime. From their amazing steaks to their well crafted drinks, to their fantastic servers, we always leave thankful for this great place in town. All around AMAZING! We had incredible service, the atmosphere is so laid back and relaxing, I fell in love, and the food OMG the food I have never had mac and cheese like this it was just WOW! You have to make this a regular family stop
