Enjoyed dinner here with friends on Saturday. Arrived early at their 4:00pm open to get a table with the Duck River view. We kicked off the meal with Spinach & Artichoke Dip appetizer with fresh Parmesan shavings which was exquisite. I ordered the Salmon Florentine Wellington that was delicious; perfectly cooked salmon and crispy pastry shell. Other items ordered by our party included Shrimp Elizabeth, Seafood Trinity... all tasty and perfectly prepared. We topped off dinner with their Key Lime pie. Service was attentive and very responsive. Just an excellent dining experience with our friends.

Recently I was in the town of Columbia, TN on business and ate at the River Terrace Restaurant. The food was great and the server was friendly and efficient. I enjoyed it so much that I returned the next night with my client who remarked on how good the food and service was. He told me that he and his wife eat there often and both the food and service were consistently good. Two nights in a row tells me that the River Terrace Restaurant is consistent in high quality food and service. I would give this restaurant FIVE THUMBS UP and I plan to eat there again on my next trip to Columbia.

River Terrace goes above and beyond not only with the friendly, gracious service but the quality of food is by far the best you will find anywhere! The owner takes an active role in every area of the restaurant and it is notice by the wonderful ambience and delicious flavors!Every thing I have tried on the menu is amazing! My personal favorites are (appetizers)the fried green tomatoes, broccoli bites, eggplant fries… (entrees) every steak is absolutely cooked to perfection and mouth watering!… the chicken piccata has literally ruined me from ever having it anywhere else, it is truly amazing from how tender the chicken is to how flavorful the sauce is..but all the entrees truly take you on such a flavor experience.. each cooked to the highest standards! (Sides) each side could have its own review alone they are so good but I appreciate the different options and how they do have the standard sides of fries and potatoes but also have acorn squash, zucchini and asparagus!.. plus many more! The wait staff truly cares about their customers and the experience that is received. They are so knowledgeable about the menu and know how to make the most wonderful drinks!DESSERT!!!!!! Each one is amazing… I could live off of any of them… but River Terrace has its own take on bread pudding and uses peaches and it is to die for! Mouth water to say the least! If you are wanting decadent chocolate they have a flourless chocolate torte that is so rich you will never want any other chocolate in your life!!! Unless that chocolate is in the white chocolate, raspberry mascarpone cake that the owner herself makes by hand!!OH!! The view!! I haven’t read many reviews stating how lovely the view is! Many wildlife friends can seen perched on the windowsills or peer down at the river and count how many fish and turtles you spot!As you can see this is my favorite restaurant and I highly recommend that you go experience all that is has to offer!!

Neat looking place on the duck river. Food was almost inedible. The lobster bisque had no flavor and tasted more like water than food. The seafood trinity lacked so much flavor that we had to ask for Cajun seasoning. We were starving or we wouldn't have finished our meal.Must have been an off night, but none of the food had any flavor.

River Terrace left a bitter taste in my mouth after my friend’s 31st birthday celebration. I always eager to support local businesses, I had high hopes and recommended this place to my friend for her birthday, I now regret that decision. With a reservation made in advance for our party of 11, including a baby, we expected a celebratory evening.Myself, arriving a bit late with two friends, I noticed the waitress’s attitude from the start. She seemed put off, a sentiment echoed by the rest of our group. Despite this, we ordered, and my Moscow Mule, though delayed, was enjoyable. I settled on the Eggplant Parmesan, which turned out to be just average. The real disappointment began when another table was seated near us. While we understood a crying baby might not be ideal, the waitress’s visible annoyance was off-putting. The owner intervened, offering a toy that eventually calmed the baby down within a couple minutes. One of our friends was not too hungry and just ordered fries, but they arrived cold. Reluctant to bother the already irritable waitress, we encouraged our friend to speak up. The owner handled the situation, but her method of asking to taste the fries before agreeing to refry them seemed unprofessional. As the evening progressed, we realized our checkout process would be far from smooth. The waitress warned us it would take a long time, and she was right. After waiting around 25 minutes in the back room, someone from our group went to check on our bills, only to find the staff complaining about the birthday girl’s crying baby. To make matters worse, there were very concerning activities involving a staff member in the bathroom, which I believe was made aware to the owner. I had stepped aside, to removed myself from the situation, since I did not want my nephew to overhear the matter. Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, we approached the staff at the front desk to inquire about our bills, it seemed like the staff only started checking us out after we approached them, unsure of why we had to wait so long. Adding to the disappointment, there was an automatic gratuity included due to our party size, which felt unfair given the poor service. One of my friends even had an incorrect bill with an added $45 gratuity, which was rectified after questioning.Overall, the experience at River Terrace was incredibly disappointing. Considering the complaints about the birthday girl’s own baby, the discomfort caused by our waitress, the concerning situation in the bathroom, and seeing the owner’s poor responses in viewing past reviews here, I can’t recommend River Terrace. It’s unfortunate that what should have been a joyous celebration turned into such a disappointing experience. Really has put a damper on the rest of our week here. It was all of our first times here and we will not be returning back.

Went to river terrace as part of a party of 11 which included a 6 month old baby @6pm on a Saturday. The food was nothing to write home about with some meals being undercooked, the cuts of steak being heavily fatty, and personally my fettuccine was not thoroughly cooked. Our server had a very snobby attitude in which some of our requests were met with eye rolls and huffs. We were told we could not get a water with my bar drink order because they did not have enough glasses. Waited over 40 minutes for a Long Island that was mostly Coke and just forgot entirely other drink orders we had placed. The baby on our party was teething and being a bit fussy at times; as we finished our gathering and asked for the checks our party found staff doing drugs in the female bathroom as we we waited 25 minutes for our checks so we could leave. In the wait I approached the front to ask where the checks were in which I overheard our server complaining about the parenting skills of the couple’s baby in our party. When our server finally appeared with our bill she made sure to tell us how it’s a shame people complain about babies etc etc contrary to what she was actively saying in the front of the restaurant.Would not recommended to anyone. Average food, oddly martini and potato salad was great, nonexistent service, staff actively doing drugs in public restroom, and terrible attitudes; would not have tipped outside of gratuity forced due to party size. Also owner has actively tried contacting via Facebook and phone trying to get more on drug use, not interested. Take your business elsewhere

I've heard positive things about this restaurant from my friends here in Murfreesboro but unfortunately they don't take reservations for parties less than 5. It's just too far to drive and have wait when I can drive into Nashville and get a reservation for two.
