The Tilted Mule is a 'dive bar' (their words), meaning it's small and intimate, but they have a LOT going on. They host various events from Bingo to Karaoke to a live band.It was difficult to pick from their list of cocktails - they were all good options! I had the Blueberry Limeade, my daughter had the fizzy Tom Collins Lemonade, and her husband had the Bee's Knees with honey and gin (seconds were ordered because it was just that good! Had I not been driving, I'd have also ordered the Papa Smurf. NOTE: the Tom Collins was sufficiently crafted that keys were handed over.)We ordered Nashville Hot Fries app and Cheese Curds. We did not follow menu directions, but recognized the error and did, in fact, order 2 cheese curds (they, too, were just good!)We ordered fish and chips, a burger with fried green tomato and bacon, and the traditional smashed burger. All came with house-made chips, but I upgraded to the salt & vinegar fries. We split a fried cheesecake with raspberry sauce. No to-go containers were required because we literally ate everything. It was JUST THAT GOOD!Note: WE spent $50/person, but we were heavy on apps and ordered cocktails. The prices are extremely reasonable and portions are excellent! Wait staff was friendly and bar staff welcomed guests as they came in.Looking forward to the next time!

The staff is great, inside/outside area to hangout, entertainment throughout the week, and the food is always fantastic, owners are involved and present, best bar in columbia by far.

Burger and beer bar with local appeal! Great place for a hot burger and a cold beer! It's the cleanest dive bar in Columbia. Service is prompt and attentive!

Great service in a cool little dive bar. Really appreciate being greeted upon entry and treated like we matter. Seems obvious, right? Somehow it isn't and many bars/businesses have disinterested employees. Not at the TM... good drinks and service.

I have been there three times, but I only stayed twice. The place was packed upon one visit, and rightly so. The place is small inside but has a cool patio. It was just too cold to go out there. It has a comfortable feeling and a very friendly staff. I didn't eat, but everyone else seemed to be enjoying the food. I enjoyed a craft beer and went on my way, but I will go back for a meal soon

Bartenders were rude to us from the moment we walked in. One of them started yelling at us when we asked about our drinks (we had been waiting awhile for 2 cans of beer). Our first time there and we will definitely not recommend or be back.

What a great place. Awesome fun staff. Real Irish fare. Also American but the Malt Vinegar fries were amazing. Highly recommend if you are looking for a great little dive bar with eats and fun employees.

Thank you Columbia for the recommendation of The Tilted Mule. Hubby ordered the classic burger and I ordered the Fried Green Tomato Burger. That burger was a HOMERUN! Loved the combination of flavors especially pickled red onion. Highly recommend this burger. Was not thrilled when I saw the fries were string potatoe fries but I have to say those were perfectly cooked and very tasty.
