Staff was nice, food was terrible! Biscuits & gravy, biscuit was fine, but the gravy was atrocious. It was thick & tastes only like flour. I scraped it off & just ate the biscuit. Bacon was very thin, basically translucent & home fries were just, frozen & poured out of a bag. Coffee was good. 1st time visiting, I had been curious about it after other visits to town, now that I have, no need to do so ever again.

I love the salad bar. It's always fresh and well maintained. My sister loves their catfish! It's not cheap but still a good value, especially if you have room for 2 salad bar trips!

Tv was jacked up couldn't see the game. I got a catfish basket and 3 hushpuppies. I got little catfish filets and supposed to have 3 hushpuppies but they only gave us 2. Salad bar seemed to be past the point of anyone eating. The salami turned white, I knew it was crawling with 48 hour food bug! The salad bar has looked good in the past but this past Friday it was atrocious. I know Danver's has had a stellar past but it was greatly lacking in cleanliness and disappointed with it and the they brought the food to your table holding it in their hands! Don't yall have trays? Didn't care for it!!

I love to come here for breakfast but lately the food hasn’t been very consistent. Sometimes I go and the food is amazing. Other times the food is awful. Biscuits are hard, home fries are gross, and eggs are runny. I guess it’s just luck of the draw. But I hate wasting my money.

We had a great meal. Service was excellent. I had the strip steak with bake potato and a salad from the large salad bar. My wife had the Friday night special. An order of fried catfish, hush puppies and a vegetable choice. She had the green beans which were very good.
I have been in Memphis for four months from another foodie city Atlanta. I lived in Atlanta for over forty years and bragged about Memphis food being pound for pound better than Atlanta. Danvers last evening ruined that stellar reputation this is a mediocre Shoneys at best the Catfish tasted like it was warmed up from a Sysco distributor the only thing that actually good was the toast. I suspect that the breakfast is much better than the crap I had last evening! I give it 3 stars because the other intangibles service and atmosphere were decent.

I got 2 of the 20oz porterhouses tonight. One of them was Perfect, the other, not so much. Also, they weren't thick steaks, they were sadly on the thin side. I was also disappointed that a salad wasn't offered with the meal considering the price. Over $30 dollars for a thin steak and a baked potato with a slice of sandwich bread toasted; salad $5 extra. Update: We decided to wait to reorder so they could get new product in. We will be ordering 2 more tonight. I'm excited to update! Wish me luck!!! With that said, I'll be giving it one more try this Thursday. Same order as tonight, although I may add the salad just to give it a try. I'll upgrade my review Thursday night!
