We love it! Used to only get it as a treat when my daughter was playing softball in Oxford. Still only a treat because DeSoto County also loves having them here. Usually, we are told the wait will be an hour or more, but, invariably, we are seated within 30 minutes. Recommend the Briscoe sandwich or wrap because ... well... Lennie Briscoe is awesome (Law&Order folks know)!

We were traveling and just stopped in for a snack. We got the ox tail and rice without sides. It was great. We also got the chitterlings without sides. They were clean and delicious. Very friendly to travelers from Colorado. Highly recommend.

Ok, I don’t know what they used to be like but today 5/1/21, service was great. Young man took order and was able to answer all my questions. AND THEY ARE NOT EXPENSIVE!!! To the person complaining about expense of oxtails; the price is very comparable to any other place even Broadway Pizza who sells them. And the meals are NOT a la carte. You get two sides an bread with entree. We had Chitterlings, spaghetti & greens. Chitterlings clean & good (would have liked a little more though); oxtails, candied yams, & greens; turkey leg stuffed with dressing & Mac n cheese. ALL OF IT WAS SUPERB. They must have improved drastically cuz I have nothing to complain about. Will definitely be back.
1ST & LAST Visit: ZERO RATING POOR SERVICEMy guest and I arrived on today (Saturday) , there were only two other patrons in the restaurant.After ordering the chopped steak with macaroni and cheese along with candied yams, my order took 25 minutes to arrive. The good thing is that my guest was pleased with her meal.To my surprise, everything I ordered was cold as if it came straight from the refrigerator. I spoke with the manager, who assured me he would prepare me a new order.10 minutes later my server brings back the same order which was reheated with the exception of the chopped steak which was ice cold. What is funny is the same two pieces of cornbread that I bit off were still on my plate.After speaking with the manager once more, he condescendingly told me he would refund my order.There was no apology nor any form of remorse for the poor service received, so with that being said I cannot give my business to an establishment that is not customer-focused.( This place is not the CLEANEST so BEWARE )A ZERO RATING IS THE BEST I CAN GIVE !!!!

A party of 7 went there today after church around 12:45 pm and decided to dine in. Employee took our order and brought our drinks to the table. It took forever for us to get our food. If it's a Sunday...soul food restaurant...FOOD SHOULD BE READY...after church...hungry customers...I DON'T understand what takes sooo long (food to come to our table 45 minutes).They did have a high volume of to- go orders but your dine in should be serviced first? We tried it but they died it, not going back.

Haven't tried this place yet. But finding out from friends that have gone there the food is expensive. They need to lower the prices and not charge for additional side items..no wonder why people are complaining.. looks like I'll be going to another bar instead of trying this expensive restaurant..

Never again the worse damn establishment I have been to in a while!! First we go in and it's only 6 people inside which was fine we only came for food a drinks. The waitress comes to take our orders and tell us they only have chicken and they only had season and lemon pepper Wth!!!!! We couldn't leave because the person with us had to pay 10 dollars to get in and we knew they wouldn't return the money. Since we were coming for the cocktails we decided to just stay. Ordered the 5 for 1 drink specials and it was straight up watered down!! Ordered strawberry Hennessy garbage!! Straight up ridiculous!!! Since the mix drinks weren't right just give us some shots of Hennessy. This was the smallest so call shot I ever seen for $10!!!! Then it wasn't Hennessy asked for the manager and he never asked what the problem was only sent over another watered down5 for 1 drink special. This place is a straight up joke! Business owners have got to do better!! Check out my shot
