I was traveling near Whitehouse TN today, and my wife and I enjoy local "meat and 3" diners, and this one sounded like it was worth a try. First thing we were told, because of some construction or something, they didn't have any daily meat and three specials that day. So we ordered off menu. I had a cheeseburger and Fries. They only have crinkle cut fries or homefries. I'm not a fan of crinkle cut fries, but I ordered them anyway. The cheeseburger is handmade from fresh beef. It was very good. No complaints on the cheeseburger, but the fries spoiled the meal. I should have ordered the onion rings, they appearantly are handmade. There are storage racks, ice machine, coolers, and such in the dining area which takes away from the ambiance. All in all it may have just been a bad day to visit.

Tuesday December 12th I attended White House Library Book Worm Club at 10 for Christmas Breakfast. Johnsons catered in fried potatoes, scrambled eggs, biscuits, gravy, sausage and bacon. It was so delicious!
I also attended the afternoon White House Library Murder Mystery Book Club at 3:00 also catered by Johnsons. The meatloaf, mashed potatoes, brown gravy and green beans and yeast rolls were amazing. The green beans were real old fashioned home cooked with amazing flavor!
I will have to start making trips to this restaurant as it’s not far from my hometown of White House.

OMG THE FOOD WAS FANTASTIC. SOUTHERN HOME MADE! WE HAD CHICKEN POT PIE, FRIED CABBAGE, GREENBEANS, AND BEETS. PLENTY OF PORTIONS. CORNBREAD PANCAKE STYLE.

Wonderful atmosphere! Very quick service! They take your drink order when you walk in the door. The only time you have to wait is for the food to cook usually less than 10 minutes depending. Waitresses are wonderfully personable friendly and are always busy serving customers instead of washing dishes from you know that other place that used to be real good the office located in Lebanon Tennessee hint hint. They serve the best sausage egg cheese biscuit on the planet!

I love this place!!! Small town vibe where the “regulars” go. This is my kind of place, great atmosphere with great people. Food is great, service is awesome and the price isn’t bad either. I just wish it was closer so I could go more often.
