Great food, service and outdoor atmosphere. I had a great waitresd that told me all about the history of the restaurant and grounds as well as the background on the awesome key lime pie. Them she brought me a sample of their smoked catfish. Needless to say had I not already ordered fried catfish I would of got the smoked. She told me once the temp drops below 65 degrees they send that smoked catfish all over the place. I can see why. It was delicious! Stop by and grab a great meal.

Have passed by several times and decided to try it out. Sunday afternoon we stopped to eat. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Had the small fish dinner. Fish was lightly battered and seasoned well. Fish cooked well and was delicious. Beans were good. Daughter had the kids bbq ribs. She enjoyed them as well. When you’re in Counce, stop and try out the fish. You will not be disappointed.
I was a little skeptical about the smoked catfish. They offered us a sample and it was awesome! Go there. Have the fish. You won't regret it. Also, everyone there was friendly and fun.

I had their coconut shrimp dinner and it was amazing! The food came out quickly and the temperature was perfect. That’s a big deal to me. It was delicious! We had a group of 13. Our waitress took such good care of all of us. Their prices are reasonable.

We were camping at Pickwick and stopped here for a Sunday lunch. This family-owned place was so inviting. The catfish was fantastic as was all the other sides we ordered. I was down from Canada and never had tried fried okra…loved it. The owner came and talked with us. It was just a nice experience. I liked it so much, I bought the t-shirt. I hope to return someday.

We visited for the first time yesterday. What a gem! They have been in business since the mid-70s and they know catfish! Their specialty is smoked catfish... it is amazing! It falls off the bone and has a wonderful smokey, spicy flavor. Don't ask them what is the the seasoning mix they use, because they won't give away the secret. The fried catfish is probably the best we've ever eaten. For all you GF people like me, they will fry your catfish without batter! I recommed eating it with the Cajun remoulade. The fish is light, flaky, and very moist. My wife and son also loved the Cajun puppies, another speciality of this restaurant. Oh... and they serve a complimentary basket of hush puppies and fried okra!
The service was impeccable and we sat down only 45 minutes before closing. They were so gracious and did not try hurry us out when closing time arrived. The family who owns/operates the place bought it from the original owners and have maintained the original recipes. The decor is very basic, but that was fine with us because it did not detract from the dining experience.
This place has become our new go-to catfish restaurant!!
Dietary restrictions: The server went out of her way to answer all my questions about the menu and notified the kitchen that I had to eat GF. The fried catfish can be made GF/wheat free! The smoked and grilled catfish are also GF options.

Firstly, you get okra and hushpuppies. They were both delicious! The hushpuppies are crispy on the outside, and fluffy on the inside with onions in the batter. We ordered fried green tomatoes to start. They were cornmeal breaded and fried crispy served with ranch: they were so good! Cooked perfectly! We both got fried catfish fillets with crinkle fries, hushpuppies, and cole slaw. The fish was perfectly breaded, seasoned, and fried. Very nice flavor! My boyfriend ended with the lemon icebox pie made in house. He loved it! We also enjoyed sitting outside on a beautiful day. There is a covered and open option outside. We recommend highly!
