They were blessed with lots of business tonight and the food was still amazing, the staff was friendly and working hard, and the owner had such a kind generous heart. My son learned an amazing lesson he will carry through life tonight. We will for sure be back! Thank you!
Campbell Station Restaurant feels like home the moment you walk in. Owner John treats everyone like family, and the sense of community is truly special. The food was amazing—the ribeye was perfectly cooked and packed with flavor, and the cream corn was unbelievably good. Campbell Station is more than a meal—it’s an experience that captures the beauty of small-town charm. A true gem you’ll want to return to again and again.
Absolutely one of the best steaks I have ever eaten. Do yourself a favor and make the trip to Cambell Station Country Store. Highly recommended.
This place has always been great. It had been years since I’ve been there and the new owners(to me) serve up amazing food just like the previous owners. Highly recommend this hole in the wall gem.
Great experience
They have the most amazing steak .
And the staff is always awesome and friendly
As always we had a great meal and service today. They make you feel like family!
Awesome place to eat. Well worth the drive to the country. May be the best catfish and hushpuppies I have ever eaten. The owner was super nice. Friendly waitresses. Don't hesitate. You must give it a try.
Great food. Great atmosphere!
The food was good and the service/ atmosphere was the BEST. Kaylee, I think I have it right, was amazing as a server. Everyone was upbeat and friendly. John has made this a sure stop for us when we are down visiting in the area!! If you haven't been in awhile, be sure to go with John as the owner!!

If you’re looking for the kind of place that leaves a mark on your soul—not just your taste buds—then Campbell Station Country Store Restaurant is where you need to be.
This isn’t just a restaurant. It’s a living piece of Tennessee history. Originally established in 1890 as a post office and train station, this cozy gem in Culleoka, TN has held its ground through generations, offering locals and travelers a space to gather, eat, and feel at home. From the moment I walked in, it was clear: this place has heart.
We ordered the steak—let me tell you, I’ve never had a steak like this in my life. Perfectly grilled, juicy, seasoned like it was touched by heaven itself. If you’ve been searching for the ultimate steak experience, stop searching and come here. And the sides? Creamed corn and beans that tasted like they came from grandma’s kitchen. Humble, comforting, delicious.
But it didn’t end there—we finished the meal with their fried pie and vanilla ice cream, and I still don’t have the words. It was simple and sweet, but carried that nostalgic Southern warmth that you just can’t replicate anywhere else.
The staff was kind, genuine, and full of local pride—it felt like stepping into someone’s home. And the history? You feel it in the walls, in the way the sunlight hits the wooden chairs, in the stories quietly tucked into every corner.
I found this place through a bit of online research and a recommendation from a dear friend who lives nearby. The only regret I have is not finding it sooner. Every bite, every detail, every moment was unforgettable—and my husband captured it all like we were documenting a page in our storybook.
Places like this need to be protected, celebrated, and passed on. They hold more than recipes—they hold tradition, love, and the spirit of a whole community.
If you’re passing through Middle Tennessee, or even if you’re hours away, make the drive. It’s worth it. For the food, for the people, for the legacy.
This isn’t just a restaurant—it’s a part of history we need to keep alive for generations to come.
Once a month I drive and Penny navigates. On this beautiful Saturday she directed me to Campbell Station Country Store Restaurant. SO AWESOME! Loved the quaint back woods country decor. Everyone was beyond friendly and sweet!. The food was absolutely amazing! We ate too much with a HUGE RIB EYE leftover. But ya just can’t leave without offers of the delicious southern desserts!!!
Thanks John - this Yankee will definitely be back!!!
Great little place
Wonderful place to enjoy a full hearty meal. It definitely has a homestyle feel and the look of yesterday's past. I was extremely impressed. Ate the rib eye with fries and a baked potato along with a drink. Took home a to go box with enough food for another meal. My hostess Anna Bell was very pleasant and engaging. For anyone looking for a place to eat out with the family, this is well worth the wait to get seated. I will definitely be back.
