We really enjoyed our experience and food. They did the best they could for how busy they were and still have quality service. And the food exceeded expectations! Will be going back!

Reservations are key! Bypass the waitlist with a reservation. Great service! Drinks were pricey and while I enjoyed my shrimp and grits, it was also priced high. But came for 1st visit to check it out and we enjoyed the service most of all with the patio seating.

Simply, DELISH!! I had meaning to check this place out. I have heard it was good, but hard to get into. We usually tend to decide where to eat while we are out running around, so we never tried to get in. I made a reservation, got in on happy hour, and we tried a bunch of items: Fried Oysters - Great, fried perfect Pimento Cheese - very good, better when warm Wedge Salad - BEST I have ever had, so flavorful! Cajun Poutine - Great, excellent gravy Douille Dog - Great flavor and juicy BBQ Ribs - very tender, I personally didn't like the sauce So many more things to try, but I cannot wait!!

We went for Fat Tuesday and ordered the frog legs. Those were THE BEST DAMN FROG LEGS I've EVER had!!!! They were so moist and tender, I've never had better frog legs.

I spent 12 years in south Louisiana and this food is the real deal. My shrimp & grits was so delicious. The server was kind, attentive and helpful. I made a reservation and they were ready for me within a couple of minutes. The hostess was welcoming and attentive. Great experience!

This was my first time back in about five years. Things have changed, but not for the better. Our server had absolutely no interest in us. She didn't even greet us at the table. Just poured our waters and asked us what we wanted to drink. Super cold and set the tone for the rest of the experience. I asked her a simple question about the chicken and dumplings, and she just gave me a weird smirk and shrugged her shoulders. It was an odd encounter. The food was somewhat bland and unexciting. For $100 bill, including a couple drinks and dinner for two I would've just been as happy at Kentucky Fried chicken. What was once a really nice establishment with great food has succumb to lack of interest and diminished quality.

Screen Door has been one of the best restaurants in Portland for years. That excellence continues. What a great meal. Service was premier. Food was well above average. Ambiance was on target. Too many great options on the menu. Screen Door doesn't control parking nor the weather but parking is always a challenge in the area and it was chilly inside when people held the door open. Complaints I knew about going in but would never stop me from going.
