Visited the Screen Door Kitchen this afternoon for lunch. The setting, decor, and vibe were delightful! The owners are very friendly and their creativity raises the menu up a notch. We are already looking forward to our next visit!

This was my second time to try the screen door and again disappointed . We had our family christmas with about 12 of us. In total we spent a lot. I saw the owner on several occasions in the restaurant and he never spoke nor ask us how we liked it and never smiled one time. As we left and our waiter was taking care of our ticket he walked up and never acknowledged us knowing we spent a lot. He seemed very disconnected and i’m sure that explains why the food was not great. the BBQ was not good, the brusse sprouts were burned and only shredded not whole sprouts, my granddaughter got extremely sick and threw up from the chicken parmesan i'd say food poisoning. Our drinks barely had NO ice. I think 2 people enjoyed the chicken and waffles ok . I can say I want be back and definitely don’t recommend at all.

First time to the Screen Door Kitchen for us. We’ll definitely be back. The chicken and waffles were to die for. Just the right amount of spice to heat things up but not overpower the flavors the perfectly prepared fried chicken and the delicious vanilla flavored waffles. I had a salad for my side and the home made “999” Island dressing was terrific. My wife had the chef salad and it could have fed three. Her homemade dressing was a big hit too. Service was impeccable.

This place is easy to miss but once you pull in it smells amazing. Waitresses were all super nice and very well attentive. The food was amazing. I got the PB&j burger with fries and my wife got the blackened salmon w green beans and loaded mashed potatoes. Burger was cooked right and very juicy and my wife said that the salmon was literally the best she's ever had hands down. It was pricey but well worth it and we will be going back.

Hidden diamond in Dayton Tn. Food was amazing and our waitress was the best. Chicken and waffles was great. Hubby had meatloaf with mashed potatoes. Meatloaf melted in your mouth and mashed potatoes OMG!!!

Great experience! We always enjoy trying a new, unique, place to eat and the Screen Did Kitchen did not disappoint. Staff was super friendly and the menu was very diverse. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Savannah was a great server! She was helpful and kind. The place was super quaint and homey. My husband had the Cajun Chicken Sandwich, which he LOVED and I had the Pumpkin Pecan Cavatappi, which was great but I would try something different next time because so many things caught my eye!

Every year we come to Dayton for a soccer tournament and one of highlights is Screen Door Cafe. We were in town for 5 days and ate there 3 days ( and only because they were closed one of the days). There isn’t a meal that you won’t love but I got the Fried Green Tomatoes every visit!!! So delicious!!! I also ordered the Chicken Parm, Short Ribs (oh so amazing), and a cheeseburger with bacon and and an egg. The food is so fresh and top notch!!! The staff and owner takes so much pride in their restaurant and food!
I also have to say that the staff is so knowledgeable and attentive! We had Brianna the last two days and every time she took our orders (large group) I thought she’s never going to get this right because she doesn’t write anything down. Not only were our orders perfect but her suggestions were spot on!!! She was seriously one of the best waitresses I’ve ever had in my life.
I can’t recommend SDK enough!!! I’m missing it already!

I was so embarrassed I took two out of town guest to lunch to the Screen Door this week. I had eaten there before and had a good experience enough that I wanted to go back with friends!! First thing we were seated at a table that was not clean the table had something very sticky on it. We requested the table to be cleaned. The waitress cleaned the table with a very wet cloth so now our table is very wet. We had to request for the table to be dried off! One good thing was the delicious squash soup!! I enjoyed it very much. My food was horrible!! I could not eat it. The pork was nothing but fat meat I took one bite and nearly threw up!! The waitress took it back and I didn’t order anything else because I was sick after the one bite. So my food was horrible except the delicious soup. Then I get up to go to the restroom and they had just mopped the hallway floor and it had so much water on the floor that I felt I had to wade through. They did have the wet floor sign out but I just couldn’t believe they would leave that much water on the floor. It was very dangerous. Then I got sicker when I went in the restroom it was very dirty and I had nothing to dry my hands on. I will never go back to this restaurant and I drove from Fairfield Glade, Crossville for this most horrible experience of eating at this restaurant!! The worst part was taking out of town guest and telling them all the way there about this amazing restaurant. Boy I felt so bad when we left there. My friends just said to me that there food was not good either and they would never want to go back. A very horrible second visit!!

Had a great experience and wonderful meals. Gwyneth was our server and she did an excellent job. My wife had something I don't care for, brussel sprouts....blah. she enjoyed them rather well. She had a grin on her face when she left the restaurant and that is all that matters to me. It was all in all a wonderful experience. I'm glad she had to eat the brussel sprouts and not me.
