Stayed nearby and gave this a shot. Food was fantastic, the only problem was I didn't get any bbq sauce with our pick up. But still good

Brisket and ribs were excellent. Bbq sauce was not to my liking. Sides were just so-so. Service was excellent, ambience was nice and it is in a beautiful setting.

Wow!!! Is all I can say. What a Great Experience at an Authentic Barbecue restaurant. This is a true mom and Pop barbecue joint that takes tremendous pride in their cooking! I met my friends in there, kids there for lunch the day before Thanksgiving, and the food was terrific. As you walk in the door, you walk straight to the counter and can see them preparing the food in the kitchen behind where you place your order. The menu is on the wall behind the register and is very easy to read. I chose the sampler platter which had pulled pork ,pulled chicken, pork ribs and brisket, (The brisket being so tender was my favorite). It being the day before Thanksgiving they were very busy. We sat down in the dining room area, which has very nice floors, wood walls, and tall ceiling with a Tv. it was very clean and nice, and we had a great time catching up with my friends while we waited on the food. When it came out, it was amazing and they kept bringing out different sauces for us and asking if we needed anything. My friend got the wings and let me try one and it was very meaty and delicious! Am pretty sure that by the time we left that every person that worked there came and checked on us, including the Pit-Master and I believe it was his wife that prepared the food in the back. The young lady that took our order, kept our water glasses refilled with plenty of ice. The portions were great and I was very impressed with the flavor of the food. We already have plans to meet back there again. I will definitely be telling all our friends about how great it was!

Great BBQ even better people. We stopped because we didn’t want chain bbq in Nashville. So glad we did. Brisket was insanely good. Ribs pork and chicken were fantastic too. Worth the 2 minor drive off the freeway.

Traveling through the area and came across the reviews for here. So glad we decided to try it. Brisket was so tender it fell apart. Ribs were fall off the bone tender and both had a good smoked crust on them. Chicken so good I didn't care it was dark meat and pulled pork wasn't dry and had great flavor. Hubby and I shared the meat platter and a side of mac n cheese. Mac n cheese was good as well but the meats are definitely the stars here. If ever in the area again we will definitely stop in again. On a note the sauces are a vinegar base which hubby isn't a fan of but in my opinion the white sauce on the chicken and the original on the park was stellar! Service was friendly and quick. Definitely recommend this little hole in the wall bbq joint!

Great small town bbq place. We loved the food and friendly people. Will be back if in the area again.

The BBQ was tender and really good. I would have given the place 5 stars, but they need better BBQ sauce to complement their BBQ. Also they didn't have any Banana pudding. We got there only a hour after opening on a Sunday, and we were looking forward to the Banana Pudding. This was my first time at this restaurant.

Hours online are incorrect. Very disappointing that we weren’t able to make a stop.

First off, the smoked meat is great. No issues with the food. However, the business should post hours publicly, especially when they sell out of product. We called to reserve brisket for pick up on 7/16/23. On 7/15, we called to confirm they would be open on 7/16 and that they had our order for pickup. We drove 74 miles to meet family at Corner Pit in Dellrose. On our drive there, we called to confirm again and got a message that was a week old. All sources online stated they weee open. After our 1 hour and 20 min drive, we arrived to find a sign on the door “closed due to selling out of meat”.The owner should operate her business better. There are many opportunities today to post or message that your business is closed to let others know. As we were there. 4 other cars arrived and were equally as frustrated as we were that afternoon.I really like the food here but the service is an issue. Inconsistency can ruin a small business quickly. My advice: if you are planning to eat here call first. If no one answers and you can’t confirm Corner Pit is open, don’t go there.Response:Jake thank you for your response. The issue is your business gave us your word that you would have brisket for us waiting Sunday after we placed the order 14 days prior to 7/15. We gave our number and could have been contacted to let us know BEFORE we drove 70+ miles to pick it up, especially since we called and confirmed on 7/15 at 3 PM that you would be open and you would have the brisket for us.I understand your business model. I appreciate the quality of your food. I also understand (being an operations leader for the last 15 years) that you have to do what you say you will do and honor your word. Best way to do business. I will chalk this up to a lesson learned and hope this is for you as well.

This is a great locally owned BBQ. Pull pork and rib tips are my favorite meats on the menu. However everything is good here. The restaurant is clean, the staff is friendly and outside seating is available which is nice in a rural setting.

Run to this hole in the wall bbq place! Cute as a button and the food was stellar! 1.8 miles from I-65. Go. Just do it. I'm a mom, not single, who travels alone all over the country with her young kids and this was a fabulous pit stop. Brown bag specials - pork BBQ sandwiches were spot on. My favorite sauce was the Original, but they honestly didn't need sauce. Smoked well! The Mac and cheese was homemade. The baked beans were smoked to absolute perfection!!! Like... I need to grab a gallon of those to take home. Fun Coke/Soda/Pop selection. Grab the Nehi Peach or a Sundrop! Desert. As my kids said 'Chef's Kiss!' Owner's family was there and we had a nice conversation with him and seems like such a nice, local farm family who owns the place. Clean restrooms. Accepts cash and cards. Hours are Wednesday - Sunday 11AM-8PM as of the date we visited. 7/19/2023We plan on making this a regularly visited restaurant.

First , the quality of the BBQ at this site is great. I have no concerns related to the food. The issue is the operating hours of the Dellrose site. We called and ordered 2 lbs of brisket a week prior to driving to Dellrose. We were told it would be available on Sunday 7/16/23. To be certain, we called at 3 PM the day before to confirm the store would be open on 7/16 to eat there and pick up our order. We were assured that they would be open and our order would be available. We also left our number to let us know if they ran out of brisket so we would not make the drive to Dellrose. On 7/16, we drove 74 miles to meet family and pick up our order and eat lunch. Upon arriving at the store, a sign was posted that they had sold out and were closed. We were not given any notice that the store was closed. We called on the drive down and a message from the previous weekend was played. In the past, we have give positive reviews for Corner Pit. The food is good, but the owner needs to do a better job at communicating the status of the store being open or closed. A simple phone message or web post would have saved us a great amount of frustration and time wasted driving 1 hour and 20 mins one way. The owner can and should do better as a business operator. Our past experience with Corner Pit was positive (including having a wedding rehearsal dinner there in 2022) but is now tarnished after this experience. Sad that a great restaurant's service cannot live up to the quality of their food.

ARDMORE location. We tried Corner Pit for the first time today. Everything we ordered was delicious. The brisket was some of the best we've eaten in North Alabama/Southern Tennessee. Baked beans and potato salad was equally as good. We also got a chicken and it has such a great smoke flavor. Perfect for stuffed potatoes. All the ladies were friendly and got our order out quickly.
