Katie’s Ice Cream is hands down the best spot in Dickson for desert. The ice cream is crazy creamy and packed w/ flavor. I got the Orange Chocolate Chip (wasn’t sure at first lol) but it totally blew me away. You can tell they actually care about what they’re making: staff is super nice.

I don’t typically write reviews, but I had to after the experience we had. We came in last night to get some ice cream and were surprised by the way we were treated. We brought up a concern to the staff and were rudely told they basically couldn’t do anything about it and it was our problem for our order being wrong. The worst part? When I tried to bring up the issue to the owner, hoping for a bit of professionalism, I got even more disrespect. Instead of listening or taking any accountability, the owner got defensive and rude-like I was the one in the wrong for expecting basic customer service. No apology, no ownership, just more attitude. It’s clear the bad energy comes from the top down. If the owner can’t treat customers with respect or manage a team that does, it’s no surprise the rest of the staff follows suit. Unprofessional from start to finish. There are plenty of other ice cream places where you can enjoy a treat and be treated like a human being. Definitely don’t recommend!
I am in town visiting friends and we came to Katie’s ice cream. I ordered a cup of cookie dough ice cream and watched the girl working scoop around pieces of cookie dough and give me a cup of ice cream with 0 cookie dough in it. I asked if I could get a new cup of ice cream with cookie dough in it or get a different flavor. She said that there was nothing she could do about it and that they weren’t allowed to switch it out. She stated that there is already a little amount of cookie dough in it to begin with and I said that if I would have known that I would’ve ordered a different flavor. She was extremely rude and said she would go back and call the owner and came back out with a business card to call. They did not offer me a refund and refused to replace my ice cream. Definitely WILL NOT be coming back. I DO NOT reccomend.

We love Katie’s Ice Cream. The ice cream is delicious and they have the most unique flavors. I have never been disappointed with any flavor I have tried, but I must say my favorites are the lavender honey, the blackberry chocolate chip and the almond coconut chip. The young people that work there are always so nice and helpful and keep the store immaculately clean. My favorite Ice Cream store for sure.
