My go to restaurant for traditional mexican food... Great portion sizes, friendly staff, that over the years, genuinely asks how my wife and I are doing.. and are pleasant people to visit with, even if it's briefly. Restaurant is clean and conveniently located in town. Daily specials to choose from for lunch and dinner. Plenty of parking and outdoor seating for nice weather days!
Definitely recommend!

They charge an unadvertised, nearly 4%(on my bill) fee for non cash payments, instead of a cash discount, which is against what the TN AG says.

So you aren’t told anything about it until you’re ready to pay. No pricing is correct like it’s supposed to be advertised.

Great authentic Mexican food with huge portions, wide selection and a great frozen margarita! I had the twin chicken chimichangas and had to ask for a to go box for the second one! Definitely will back on my next trip to Dickson.

Mazatlan in Dickson is hands-down one of the best spots in town. The food’s always on point—hot, flavorful, and served fast. I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve ordered the chicken and rice with white cheese sauce. It’s comfort food done right.

But what really sets Mazatlan apart is the people. One night, my daughter choked from eating too fast, and without hesitation, the staff jumped into action. They gave my wife a ride to the hospital to make sure she got there safely and quickly. That kind of compassion? You don’t forget it.

The service is consistently friendly, the chips and salsa never stop flowing, and the vibe is laid-back whether you’re inside or out on the patio. It’s become a go-to for my family—not just for the food, but because they treat you like one of their own.

If you’re in Dickson and want great Mexican food with even better people behind it, Mazatlan’s the place.

The vegetarian fajitas were some of the best flavored veggies I have ever had in fajitas. The only thing I didn't care for was the guacamole. It just didn't taste fresh enough for me.

Good and everything was great. But felt super rushed to eat and get out. My date felt the same.

I got a bean and cheese burrito smothered in their cheese sauce. I'm new to the area and have tried all the Mexican restraunts for this item. This was by far the best. They did not skimp on the cheese sauce, which was amazing. I really apreciate not having to ask for lots of sauce and still receiving it and especially not being charged extra for it like other restraunts in town. This will be my main spot going forward. Not nickeling and diming your customers goes a long way! A new loyal customer!
