Great staff. The manager was pretty friendly. The food wasn’t what I had hoped for but me and my wife are pretty picky. Beautiful views.

November 20 21 made reservations for family of 14. View was awesome, but that’s all I can say good about it food very overpriced and was cold and no one‘s food was good it was terrible and honestly I’m usually not one to complain. I have been there several times in the past years ago and the food was good then but not now.

Hi, I attended and helped with a baby shower on October 3rd 2021. They had filthy and wrinkled table cloths on the tables, which we immediately removed. We had 20 guests. I had to ask for water for the 20 guests. We filled the glasses and served the water to the guests - not the wait staff. I had to ask for silverware for all the 20 guests. They finally brought it after the food was served. Nora was not a nice person at all and not helpful. I asked for a trash can for the wrapping paper from the gifts. The staff gave me an old Sysco box - real classy! We had to ask for more water, the waitresses were at the video game at the counter playing it. We were not asked for drink orders or coffee orders. To top it all off, in the middle of a speech/prayer, the waitress interrupted wanting to know which salad dressing the salad eaters wanted!!!??? Class is not a thing here at all, no manners. I feel this restaurant has a lot of work to do. The southern hospitality is totally lacking. The time was 2:00 pm on a Sunday. This was not a busy time in the restaurant.

As you all know the views are incredible and worth the trip there. But to top it off the service and the meal were all excellent as well. There were four of us and each one of us had a different item - all four of us loved our meal. The ribs were done to perfection! Well worth the visit.

We read all the reviews about the restaurant but we did not experience that at all. We stayed in the lodge and took in all our meals for two days. A great variety for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Reservations are required even as a guest of the lodge. Had the filet mignons last night. Salads were fresh, drinks were good and breakfast was a room service which was phenomenal. Nora is so professional and the ladies that work there are so personable. I have no negative to say about this restaurant with a spectacular view!

Ok the place needs polishing up, the carpet has seen better days, the tables and chairs are worse for the wear, but let me tell you the view literally takes your breath away! I went with a group of 7 total for lunch, and for over an hour we were the only ones there. The chef came out and greeted us, took us on a tour, and told us the story behind this place. Then she graciously offered to take photos of our group and posed us in the best spots! I mean come on, southern hospitality doesn’t get any better than this does it? Once we were seated the manager came out and told us she was the only one there to take our orders and serve us our meals. You could tell she felt very uncomfortable telling us this. Either the staff didn’t show up and another one called in sick with pneumonia. She was not hired or trained to serve food, but the job she did was beyond amazing and confessed she was really nervous. You would never had known she was not the serve staff. Let me also throw in she did this all in heels ? too! Our orders were taken, served quickly and every order was perfect ?. She was also the cashier. I mean come on! This gal should wear a cape! I hope this review helps the restaurant.

HORRIBLE ~ we have visited 2x previously and the experience was excellent. Something has definitely happened ??!! I hesitate in giving a bad review because the people that work there are truly kind and seem to be genuine ~ BUT, we ordered the Turkey and dressing with green beans and asparagus ~ ALL FAKE and processed ~ NOTHING seemed to be homemade !!! For $100 meal you should have cloth napkins and cloth tablecloths ~ I’m just sad we wasted $100 and now feel SICK !!! The views are excellent and the cherry cobbler was excellent ~ next time we said we would go and have water and cobbler ?! ?! ?! It’s TRULY sad because my 81 tear old father asks for me to bring him here every year as a treat !! (Even he agreed it was the worst meal) ……

I can not say enough good about this place. The food was outstanding. The Service is outstanding and the views are amazing. We enjoyed dinner there today. Drove two hours from our home and it did not disappoint. We ordered the ribs, brisket, and turkey special. Every meal was excellent. Not sure why anyone would give this a rating other than outstanding. Will definitely drive there again. Thanks for a wonderful day.

We called and made reservations about for four people two to three weeks in advance of our visit on Saturday, July 24th. The restaurant confirmed our reservation twice, two days in a row p, which was a bit unusual but I suppose not that unusual. Mistakes happen or they were just making double sure we were coming since we live two hours away. They seemed way to interested in our presence and certainly did not want us to cancel or not show. On the day of our visit, we were stopped at the bottom of the mountain by Security to once again confirm our name and be told “the rules” regarding our journey up the mountain. No turns and no sightseeing just go straight to the compound. We also arrived about thirty minutes early. Upon arrival and too wait until our reservation time we checked out “the view” and walked around the facilities. We had contemplated reserving a room and spending the night but thought the prices were a bit high for our budget. We noticed the Tennessee State Flag and the United States Flag being wrapped around their masts and we took the time to unwrap them, the over grown and full of weeds flower beds, a fallen light post on the ground, tree limbs on the ground, the soda fountain next to the back kitchen door but in view of the guests, and various other things that were a bit surprising. At the time of our reservation, we entered the restaurant and were seated. Our Server was dressed in a long sleeved shirt while the other Staff was in short sleeves. She was very talkative. I asked about T Shirts for sale because her shirt had a logo of the twists and turns road sign at the bottom of the mountain. Unfortunately there were maybe five shirts for sale and all were smalls. Revenue lost. The Server flooded us with information about employees not reporting for work and their food service supplier not showing up the day before. She also shared lots of personal information about her family of seven kids and falling asleep the night before and not washing her short sleeved shirt and having to wear a long sleeved shirt. I’m OK with some of that but there is a limit. We looked over the menu and made our drink and food selections. I decided to try a half rack of ribs. When our food was delivered everyone seemed happy with their selections. I cut the first rib off the half rack and noticed that it was cool to the touch and beads of water were on the surface of the rest of the rack. I surmised that it had not been heated AT ALL. The entire half rack was cold. As in refrigerator/cooler cold. It had not even been warmed or heated. I sent my plate back to the kitchen. When the Server returned later, the rib I had cut initially was gone and now the half rack was so hot I had to wait and let it cool. I was disappointed but ate everything. No apologies were given. The Server was attentive to our needs and all but you could tell there was something internally going on in the kitchen. Maybe she was embarrassed I don’t know. I would have been. We did enjoy the view but I feel this property is in need of some investment in time, energy, and improvements. It certainly isn’t all they make it out to be. It’s more like run down and badly managed. Just my experience.

I wore a dress bc I thought it would be a fancy restaurant but definitely not. The waitresses were very young and very immature and definitely not the appropriate age to be serving alcohol and I’m sure that would be a very large fine lol. Our waitress loved staring at my hubby and talking about me to other waitress which is very rude and obviously the waitresses needs more training . And We waited nearly 30 min just for a drink refill. Would never recommend this place to anyone. I would’ve rather brought a pizza and ate it on the balcony of the restaurant just for the pretty view . Their food options are not good. They have no cheeseburgers or chicken tenders. The chicken that they do have for their pasta is very dry. The food is very over priced. I would say if you’re single and looking for some young ratchet girls then this would be the place for you!!!!:)

On May 23rd, I took 10 immediate family members to the restaurant to celebrate my Grandson's HS Graduation. We had the beautiful Gazebo roomed reserved. Our reservation was at 11:30am. Our waitress , Ragan,, attended to us immediately, taking our drink orders. 8 of our 10 ordered sweet tea. It came out quickly & we soon realized it wasn't sweet at all. When we told Ragan, she immediately took them all off the table & QUICKLY RETURNED with sweet tea, all with a friendly, calm attitude. We ordered appetizers(the fried green tomatoes were a big hit), entrees which included everything from smokey mac n' cheese to filet mignon. The orders came out quickly, simultaneously & piping hot & made to order!! What a special place! The view was to die for! A truly great experience that our Graduate will always remember!

We had a wonderful time. The rooms and views are amazing. The rooms are clean and cozy. Every room had a view that was amazing. The got anew chief and the food was delicious. The staff was attendant and nice. I would definitely go back.

This was a place we would go with friends and out-of-town guests, but our last lunch experience was a nightmare. A 1.5-hour wait for food that arrived cold and a "manager" who made excuses and refused any customer-friendly remedy is not what we drive an hour from home for. The reviews on the restaurant website reflect the abysmal experiences that others have had. NOT recommended.

3rd time trying and it got worse every trip. Reservation at 7:45 and at 9:05 still not food. At 9:10 one meal arrived it was cold. The other meals finally came at 9:30 while they had up go find the mgr. The view is great but that’s all!! Food is like sports bar food not fine dining.
