The food was excellent, but service seemed a little slow today even tho it wasn't that busy. No matter, I wasn't in a hurry. Highly suggest going.

I had the western style omelette for breakfast with a large side of hash browns. The omelette was AMAZING, the hash browns we a little bit undercooked, my fiance food was all cold when she got it. Had to send it back to be reheated. Great little small town diner, just a few small complaints from us. We'll be back again though

This is not the Dunlap Restaurant I remember from when I lived in Tennessee. In the past, I always enjoyed good food and great service, but today was a very different experience.
I ordered a simple meat-and-two to go: a salmon patty with green beans and potato salad. Despite the restaurant being no more than a quarter full, the order took over 45 minutes to prepare.
The dining room itself was dingy and dark, with barely half of the lights working. When I finally got home and opened my order, I was met with an unpleasant surprise. The salmon patty looked like a fried cow patty—about an inch and a quarter thick, the size of a small plate, heavily breaded, and cooked well past its prime. It was dry and completely tasteless. The cornbread muffins were dry and rubbery, and the potato salad was swimming in mayonnaise. The green beans were the only item that was acceptable.
It’s disappointing to see a place that once offered such good food and service in this condition. I hope the restaurant can return to its former quality, but until then, I have a hard time recommending it to anyone.

Food quality depends on the item. Some items are great, others are okay. But I probably shouldn’t compare what I ordered to another place that has my favorite of the same item.

Ive eaten breakfast here twice. The gravy is more like a white mud, the biscuits are hard and cold, the bacon was like shoe leatjer and cold as well. Nothing has flavor, its always served cold. I waited what seemed 45 minutes. I never got our drinks refilled until I went to the counter. I spent aomost 20 dollars for my single meal, only for it to be served cold. If I could get a refund and leave negative stars, I most certainly would.
There are no good home cooked meal type restaurants in Dunlap.

On golfing trip and stopped for breakfast here. The service was great. The service was fast and our breakfast was very good. The hash browns were crispy and not oily. Best I’ve ever eaten anywhere. The country ham and pancakes were also very good. The waitress was very prompt and attending to our needs. We will be back ! Thank you

This was our first visit and will not be our last. If you are looking for a country home cooked breakfast, this is a must visit. The biscuits and gravy are homemade and so delicious. Everything we ordered was so good and freshly made. We will be back to try lunch.
