I am an Out of Towner. I was told the peanut butter milkshake at Sammons was amazing, and it surely was. Big Chief and cheddar poppers were also delicious.

Great 👍 BBQ and hot dog!!!!!! This was my first time here. I just happened to be in Elizabethton and saw Sammons?? It was around my lunch time so I thought, I've never ate here before I think I'll give it a try. Im glad I did, it's very affordable, with Awesome Food. I highly recommend 👌 ☺️

Sammons is a local food icon for Elizabethton. Staff were ok, felt rushed to order so be sure to check the menu ahead of time. Pricey for the amount of food. Chili was minimal for the cost on the hot dog. Food was all fresh. Inside appears spotless and very clean. Fires are the best around. Atmosphere was ok, staff rushing made it less enjoyable and it wasn't busy due to weather changes. Be sure to stop in for custard shop style milkshakes, but pad your wallet first.

Coney dogs were a staple growing up in MI. I was happy to find some locally that reminded me of back home. The ice cream cones are huge! Shakes and fresh squeezed lemonade are great too.
