Not what you think.. everyone we talked to recommended Haufbrauhaus as "best authentic German food in town". Not! Hofer's bakery as best breakfast; it was good, but not great. Two sleepers came in above them: Mueller fried cheese had the best breakfast, and Bodensee had the most authentic German food. Bodensee had the most personal service; owner meets you and seats you. Waitresses all know their stuff and are friendly. Hello Lilith. Hello Donia.

Couldn't find the place! All we saw was a food truck. We didn't want a food truck. Drove around the block but still didn't locate it.

Looks like a great spot, but it was closed. Hope it reopens soon. Would be a nice spot to take a rest while motorcycle riding.

Drove from Asheville to eat here and the food truck was locked up. Rang the bell and no one answered. Filled up my bike at the BP @1068 N Main Ave in Erwin, and left for Asheville.I was told they are working on an empty building nextdoor, so they can put a restaurant in it. I don't know if this is true. Disappointed!

We tried burnout bbq for the first time since moving to Erwin. Food was absolutely amazing! I have a thing for nachos and these pork nachos were on point. We will definitely be eating here more often.

Loaded fries were LOADED! Taste great and I heard great things about the brisket. Disappointed because I thought the wings would be smoked but they're not.

Great food, had eaten at their brick and mortar store before. I have driven by the supposed location of the food truck a few times and never seen it around. After calling today and asking for directions, I realized that Google has the wrong address listed, which explains why I could never find it in the past. The address Google has listed is on SOUTH Main, while the food truck is on NORTH Main. I mentioned this when I got to the food truck and they said they would look into it. Hopefully it is corrected soon, so no other hungry people have to miss out on some BBQ.Response to Burnout:Having never looked up the Burnout BBQ foodtruck before yesterday on my computer (I have looked it up on the phone in the past), and having it show as being on SOUTH Main, with it listed as being right at the National Guard Armory, I can confidently say that it is not a refresh issue. I would suggest having some people Google, though. The fact is that it literally shows it on the map at the Armory, as well as the address being listed in a Google search as SOUTH Main. I suggested an edit to the address yesterday to put it on NORTH Main, which is currently being reviewed by Google.

We were coming down from the Indian Grave Gap on the Appalachian Trail and saw this place that looked interesting. What a wonderful surprise. The food was excellent and the people were friendly. I also enjoyed browsing all the 1950s and 60s decor everywhere.

Got the brisket sandwich and it was packed with delicious meat! Love the decor and also like that we had access to the drinks, silverware and bbq sauce to help ourselves with whatever we needed. Glad to finally catch them open on a day we were in town!
