Hey! If you have autistic children don’t come here! My son was stimming because he is autistic and the waitress said to make sure we keep him sitting still!!! Because they apparently “redid the booth” but our booth was just wobbling away so I don’t see what improvement that is! We explained we can’t promise that because he is autistic and stims and she had ZERO SYMPATHY!! We said we would have to go if that’s a requirement and she said “ok!” Super peppy and flipped her ponytail and walked away! The girl with glasses and brown hair needs to be fired!! Talk about discrimination I forgot this was the 1950s again! Autistic children exist!!

Came here today to get lunch and the lady at the window seemed very flustered and her attitude was very noticeable. They were super busy but we figured the simple meals we ordered shouldn’t take long so we placed our orders. After we paid, the lady tells us it’ll most likely be 30 minutes to get our food. Would have been nice to know this BEFORE we placed our order. Would not return just on this principle alone.

Place is a cool stop in and get a bite but the staff is slow and I sat there today awaiting a burger and fried okra and was i was in there 28 min and missed my whole lunch. I work 12 hr days and needed to eat never will I be back

I ordered a large burger with rye instead of regular bun...They accommodated and it was a great burger. Cozy place if your a fan of dinners. Seemed like it's probably been there awhile. I will go back next time I want a burger!

Hot Fudge cake is great! Asked for a well done hamburger,’burn it!’. It was barely cooked and mushy, I didn’t eat it. Fries were limp not crispy.

Clarence's Restaurant is a real gem in Erwin! The food was absolutely fantastic – every dish we tried was clearly made with care and bursting with flavor. What truly elevated the experience was the staff; they were incredibly friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. You can tell they take pride in what they do. Honestly, the only tiny hiccup in an otherwise perfect meal was the ketchup. While perfectly acceptable, this place deserves the best, and for me, that means Heinz. It's a small detail, but upgrading to the classic would take Clarence's from nearly perfect to absolutely flawless. Despite this minor preference, I wholeheartedly recommend Clarence's. You're guaranteed a delicious meal and a warm welcome. It's easily a 4 and a half star experience!
