If you’re looking for an amazing hole-in the wall hometown favorite … we found it!
This is probably the best sub sandwich I have ever had! The chicken bacon ranch is soft warm Appalachian cheese herb bread with grilled chopped chicken, crispy bacon melty cheese with all the fixin’s! My husband truly enjoyed the hamburger sub as well! Onion rings and cheddar bites were crispy and perfectly done.
Do yourself a favor and pick up a locally made for the last 75 years Dr. Enuf soda. Refreshing like a seven up with good for you ingredients. Apparently, locals have long reached for it after a too-long-of-a-night and call it a ‘hang-over’ cure!
Kelsie and the other sweet employees were so welcoming and kind. Kelsie patiently answered all our questions with enthusiasm and helped us order the most perfect lunch ever! She loves the restaurant and her hometown and it shows!
The sandwich shop was busy filing a catering order of 500 subs for tomorrow … and we never would have known it! Our meal was prepared in a timely manner and served to us hot and fresh right to our table.
There’s a small seating area with about 5 tables. It’s cozy and warm and just a lovely place to enjoy a great sub!! Pics of menus and shop are included as well as our food.
We bought a pack of sub rolls to take home and try our own creations as well!

Everyone who works here is so nice and the food is so good and also inexpensive. I would make the 1 Hour Drive from Asheville just to eat here again and then turn around and drive home.

This is a lovely place and I enjoyed my visit while there. I ordered a french dip sub. It was good. My only issue was that this is a hot sub but the bread was cold which I wasn't expecting.

Been going to this place since it opened and i swear it keeps just getting better Since The Andrews took over there’s more consistent in food, service, quality. The crew is always friendly and smiling. The place is always spotless. The food always tasty. I highly recommend the cordon blu and teriyaki chicken subs! Ps. the way they can make any sub into a salad is fantastic!

I got the Chicken cordon Bleu. While it tasted good, it was mostly bread with cut up pieces of chicken mixed with cut up pieces of ham, lettuce, etc., not a whole piece of chicken like I was expecting. Not very substantial....not enough meat for the sub roll. The fries were very good. My first visit. 2 sandwiches, a tea, and a water was $28.
