Today Dana and Steven drove to Lu Lu's Cafe Restaurant in Estill Springs. It is always worth the drive. Great breakfast and today's lunch was a 5 🌟. Dana ordered Chicken and Dressing, Pinto Beans onion, sweet potato casserole and real corn bread muffin. Steven ordered Broasted Chicken, Pinto Beans onion, sweet potato casserole and real corn bread muffin. Everything was excellent, food, service and even the owner stopped by and talked with us. This is definitely a great restaurant. We ordered Baklava to go.

We stopped there to get breakfast and were seated right away. We got our drinks really quick too. We ordered our breakfast and it took 40 minutes for us to get that. The food was good but the wait time for our food wasn't that great.

Waitress was great, atmosphere was fine. Food was terrible which was sad bc I was really looking forward to local diner food. Food taste like it's all pre packaged mixes or frozen food and none of it was grilled properly on top of it. Pancakes were hard, which I have no idea how you make that happen and the sausage patty was really strange tasting and the bacon was hard and dried out but not burnt, also strange. If you could improve your food quality I'm sure you'd make more money and so would your staff. Priorities. Everyone loves a good roadside diner. Won't come back next time I pass through.

Country Fried steak from a bag. Hears lots of great stuff, but if country fried steak is your special for the day, don't pull it from bag. Greens were great and hot. Mashed potatoes, gravey and non country fried steak were barely warm.

Let's say I will never go there again. It was not busy and still took almost an hour to get our food and the eggs were not cooked, the pancake was cold and the bottom was overdone. To make matters worse our bill was placed on the table BEFORE we received our food!! 0 stars for this restaurant.

We came into Lulus around 10ish am on a Sunday. I understand Sundays are busy and the kitchen can be backed up. We placed our order and the receipt was time stamped at 10:50, we waited until 11:45 for our food to come out. During that time our waitress did not come to our table to offer an explanation nor an apology for the wait. Our refills were done by another waitress. We have heard raving reviews about Lulus so we decided to wait hoping the food would be worth it. My eggs came out Luke warm as if they'd been sitting under a heat lamp and the home fries were not seasoned. The only thing worth eating on my plate was the biscuit. Finally we go up to the counter where a staff member with short red hair was checking folks out. I sat my card down and she asks how everything was, in the middle of recapping the above she goes ahead and runs my card saying there is nothing she can do about it. When she hands my card back, she stated I snatched it from her hands. At this point I am speechless. Instead of going back and forth with her I just ask to speak to someone else, the staff members then states there is no one I can talk to and they don't have a manager. Another lady with long black hair comes up to the counter and I ask again, is there someone I can talk to. She brings out the owner and we have a pleasant conversation and she apologized for how our experience went today and offered to compensate our next meal. I would like to believe our experience today was a fluke, and solely based on a few bad members of staff. We live very close by was hoping to have a new Sunday breakfast spot. My recommendation to anyone wanting to come here would be simply come on a weekday when they are not busy. If you're looking for a Sunday morning breakfast I recommend driving the extra 15 into town and going to Sunrise.
