We are in town for a concert. Came here for early supper. We both ordered the Brisket Baked Potato. Our waitress was friendly and helpful. The potato was pretty good sized. However there was maybe an ounce of brisket. Pretty sad that there was almost none. The tiny amount on there had a good smoky flavor. The bread was good. Fried okra was good too. Brisket disappointment. And there was an up charge for choosing okra instead of baked beans. 🙄
We had a wonderful family dinner here with great service. All of the food we had was delicious and not over priced. I especially suggest the Hawgbacks appetizer. Their loaded potato soup is absolutely delicious and filling. My daughter said they have the best corndog.
Burger was undercooked for a medium well. Okra was over fried. Service was good.

My family and I decided to give this place a try after being recommended.
That was a mistake.
My 11 year old son fell and busted his knee walking to the bathroom on something super slippery. My oldest son went with him the second time (about 10 minutes later) and he almost hit the ground too...after telling our waitress about the first fall and her telling us they'd fix the problem. They fixed it by tossing a small rug on it.
The appetizer potato skins were dry.
My husband and my brisket was dry.
The baked potatoes were tiny and burned to a crisp on the outside.
The blue cheese dressing had an odd oily texture.
2 of us (myself and son) never got a drink refill despite being there an hour. (They were not busy by any means)
We all barely made it home (5 minutes away) when every one of us had horrible stomach problems.
$150 later...
Never again. Ever.

This is a great place to eat, a lot more than you'd expect from a small town. We mostly do carryout, with the occasional dine-in. The service and food is always top notch!

The quality of service has declined the cleanliness has declined. I think it's just management. The last three times we've been for dine in at lunch time maybe 2:00 p.m. we've waited extremely long waits for the food and the service. And the food was so salty we couldn't eat it. We started to leave because we stood waiting so long to be seated and the restaurant was almost empty. Maybe three people?

We stopped in today after our train ride. Saltiest food we have ever had. I had a rueben, thinest and skimpiest cornbeef I have experienced. My wife had the very berry salad with fried chicken, again chicken was salty. My brother in law had pork tenderloin, salty, his wife had catfish, salty.
If you like salt this is the place for you.
