I love sushi! Isshin is a family owned business in Fairview that just astounds the palate! I've been to some chain sushi and steakhouses, and they are ok, but isshin is at the top of my list for Japanese food. I've been going there for years having both lunch and dinner. Only once have been disappointed in the wait staff, but that was corrected quickly and haven't had a poor experience since. Honestly the best sushi and sashimi in the country as far as I'm concerned. It's the closest thing to authentic food I've come across since I was in Japan.

I love this restaurant. It is where me and my family always go for our birthday dinners. Tonight we walked in and they were insanely busy. I watched that staff work so hard, and everyone chipping in helping everyone else get their tasks completed. It was truly an awesome thing to watch. And the food is always killer.

The chicken and rice weren't bad. However, the sauces and the salad and the soup were all disgusting! The waitresses were not that great either.
I always get hibachi chicken and fried rice at Japanese restaurants. The chicken has good flavor but the fried rice just really doesn’t have any flavor. The staff is great and really friendly though!
