Trip Advisor list this place as BBQ. It actually is a diner. They are open for breakfast and lunch. Staff are very nice. Seems to be frequented by locals (not really on the beaten path). I ordered the Chuck Wagon Patty - aka patty melt. I was pleasantly surprised. It was quite tasty. I also ordered seasoned fries. They did not measure up to the flavor of the burger. To bad they weren't handcut, that would have been a great match. Overall, above other chain burger places.
Chuck Wagon BBQ is the hidden gem of Fayetteville. We've eaten at nearly every non-chain and this is the best place to eat in Fayetteville, hands down. There were four in our party and everyone loved their meals … ribs, brisket, pulled pork, sides … generous portions even for the biggest eater and reasonable prices. This lovely place may not look like much from the outside, but the food was delicious and the staff were kind and welcoming. I didn't know this place existed, but I'm already looking forward to coming back! Thank you for a great breakfast after a long shift at work.
