Helens Restaurant

The service is nice, but the food is truly what makes Southern cuisine so special! I remember coming here with my grandparents, and we enjoyed it then even way back. I still find myself enjoying the scrumptious dishes this place serves up.

Carol greeted us as soon as we walked in and had us seated quickly, even though they were packed. Christin was our server and she was very quick and friendly. Our order was taken quickly but the food and check took some time but they were understandably very busy. The chicken breast had a great flavor. It was a bit more dry than my husband’s chicken tenders but both were really good. The green beans were phenomenal! I liked the Mac n cheese and mashed potatoes as well. The fried okra was good as well as the fried squash. The cream corn, slaw and rolls didn’t go over well with any of our party of four. For a $10 meat and 3 it was really good and we would come back if we lived in the area.

Walked in to place a to go order and immediately greeted! Excellent customer service and food was ready quick.

Family style restaurant. Homemade food. We had the hot roast beef sandwich with mashed potatoes and coleslaw. The roast beef was real roast not lunch meat, real potatoes! Coleslaw was also very good. Service was amazing. Everyone was so friendly. Even the other customers were very friendly. This is now our go to restaurant. It's so nice that there's still little family restaurants still going strong.

I have eaten at Helen's a few times and have really enjoyed their food, however I had heard about their catering and was interested in getting my wedding catered by them. I have made 2 different tasting appointments with the owner and she forgot about my appointment both times. I understand being busy, but the lack of communication and effort is just not permissible. Very disappointed

It was great. Good food. Good portions for the money! Clean restaurant with a friendly staff. Second time there. Will go back.
